Abstract: Cold rolling oil composition for steel sheet comprises cold rolling oil and cationic high mol. wt. compound and 0.1-5% of nonionic surfactant of HLB value 12 or more, as emulsifying and dispersing agents. Nonionic surfactant comprises polyoxyethylene alkylether, polyoxyethylene alkylphenylether, polyoxyethylene alkylester, or polyoxyethylene sorbitan alkylester. Cationic compound comprises a salt of organic or inorganic acid. Rolling oil comprises on animal-, vegetable-, or mineral oil or synthetic ester. The oil has excellent lubricity, lubrication stability, and fresh oil replenishing property.

Inthe formula, m is zero to about 1; D is a divalent metal; d is from zero to about 4; T is a trivalent metal; A is anions or negative-valence radicals of valence n; na is from zero to about -3; (m+d) is greater than zero; a is the number of A ions; q is from zero to about 6; and (m+2d+3+na) is equal to or greater than 3. The compounds are useful as gelling agents which impart beneficial thixotropic properties to various fluids, such as drilling fluids, especially when employed along with fluid loss agents.

Abstract: The present invention relates to polymer dispersions comprising A) at least one dispersed polyolefin, B) at least one dispersion component, C) mineral oil and D) at least one glyceryl ester derived from an unsaturated carboxylic acid having from 8 to 30 carbon atoms. The inventive polymer dispersions are notable for very good low-temperature performance. In addition, the polymer dispersions can be prepared in a particularly energy-saving manner. The present invention further relates to processes for the preparation of and to the use of these polymer dispersions.
