An elevator rope for suspending the car of an elevator device, comprising an inner layer rope having a plurality of inner layer strands formed of a plurality of steel wires twisted each other, a resin inner layer covering body covering the outer periphery of the inner layer rope, and an outer layer disposed on the outer peripheral part of the inner layer covering body, the outer layer further comprising a plurality of outer layer strands formed of a plurality of steel wires twisted each other, wherein the outer layer covering body formed of a high friction resin material is applied onto the outer periphery of the outer layer.

A stainless steel cable particularly for surgical procedures comprises a plurality of individual wire filaments (20). Groups of wire filaments (20) are twisted together in a first helical direction around a central wire filament to make a strand (10). A plurality of strands (10) are twisted together in a second helical direction around a core strand to make a strong, flexible cable. The first helical direction has the opposite sense to that of the second helical direction. In one embodiment, the cable has one hundred and thirty three wire filaments (20), each of diameter 0.0025 inch (64 (my)m), arranged in nineteen equivalent strands.

In an elevator rope, a plurality of steel outer layer strands are twisted together on an outer circumference of an inner layer rope. The inner layer rope has: a fiber core; a plurality of steel inner layer strands that are twisted together directly onto an outer circumference of the fiber core; and a resin inner layer rope coating body that is coated onto the outer circumference. A diameter of the inner layer strands is smaller than a diameter of the outer layer strands. The inner layer strands are greater in number than the outer layer strands.

The present invention relates to a hybrid cord comprising an inner layer (1) in steel cord, an intermediate layer (2) in a high module and high toughness fibre and an outer layer (3) in a Polyolefin fibre. The present invention also refers to its application in an 8 (4x2) cords braided hybrid cable or any other type of hybrid cable presenting another construction, in braided or twisted cables.

A hoist for an elevator, wherein a rotating shaft (6) supported rotatably on bearing stands (2, 3) is rotated by a driving force of a drive motor (8) so as to move a car up and down through a main cable (7), a main cable application part (6a) for applying the main cable (7) thereto is formed integrally with the rotating shaft (6) and a plurality of rope grooves (6b) for inserting the main rope (7) therein are provided in the main rope application part (6a).
