SOLUTION: The low-density composite material is obtained by laminating sheet-like materials 2 that do not contain a foamable microcapsule and mainly includes papermaking fibers to both sides of a sheet-like material 1 that contains an unfoamed foamable microcapsule and mainly includes papermaking fibers to give a laminate 3 and then heating the laminate to foam the foamable microcapsule. The outermost layers thereof are combined with various sheet-like materials 5 to add their characteristics to the low-density composite material.

In a lower layer, the basis weight is 20 to 100 g/cm 2 , the thickness is 20 to 200 μm, and the air resistance is 0.1 to 8 seconds. Abstract: Fluorescent particles strongly fluorescing upon irradiation with ultraviolet rays, as well as a process for producing the same, are provided. A water-insoluble fluorescent dyestuff and/or pigment fluorescing upon irradiation with ultraviolet rays, and a powdery material including starch, cellulose, other polysaccharides and sugars are mixed and granulated. The surface of granules of the powdery material may be coated with the fluorescent dyestuff and/or pigment. In granulation or coating, a resin having reactive groups reacting with the hydroxyl groups of the powdery material is used in combination, whereby particles excellent in water resistance can be obtained. Further, the interaction between an anionic binder contained in the granules and a cationic material contained in the coating layer or between a cationic binder contained in the granules and an anionic material contained in the coating layer can be utilized to confer water resistance on the particles. By inclusion of the fluorescent particles in paper, there can be provided anti-falsification paper wherein the particles fluorescing in a specific hue can be clearly visually recognized upon irradiation with ultraviolet rays.

SOLUTION: A thread 1 provided with a semiconductor chip 10 attached with an external antenna 41 having sides of 0.5 mm or less, having therein a memory of a plurality of bits and provided with antenna wiring is adhered on a surface of a sheet-shaped material or inserted into a sheet-shaped material to obtain an anticounterfeit sheet-shaped material. The semiconductor chip is a non-contact type, capable of performing writing/reading of information, and surely judges the real and the false by reading information on the semiconductor chip included in the sheet-shaped material. A timing mark 21 to be a reference of a position of adhering the semiconductor chip attached with an external antenna is given to the thread. When the thread is inserted into the sheet-shaped material while detecting the mark, the semiconductor chip attached with an external antenna can be accurately and efficiently inserted in a predetermined position of the sheet-shaped material.
