Abstract: A method and a system for offering geographical information through an input interface are provided to reduce effort/time needed for searching a position, and easily check the geographic information corresponding to the desired position and a corresponding route by performing search after regarding two keywords inputted with a predefined delimiter as a departure and destination place. A keyword inputting module(310) receives the keywords including the predefined delimiter through a search window. A determining module(330) checks whether the predefined delimiter is placed between the search keywords. A geographic information providing module(340) regards the keywords as the departure and destination place, and provides the geographic/route information from the departure place to the destination place if the predefined delimiter is placed between the keywords. If the number of inputted keywords is over three, the geographic information providing module provides the geographic/route information from the departure place to the destination place via a waypoint by regarding the inputted keywords as the departure/destination place and the waypoint.
