    Abstract: Various arrangements for using multiple air interfaces on a frequency channel for side-link communications are presented. A first indication of a first time-window of a first resource pool may be transmitted by a first air interface system. A second indication of a second time-window of a second resource pool may be transmitted by a second air interface system. Side-link communications may be performed using the first air interface during only the first time-window of the first resource pool. Side-link communications may be performed using the second air interface during only the second time-window of the second resource pool.

    Abstract: According to the present disclosure various network functions are dynamically instantiated on a selected data center to utilize the most efficient and rapid resources available. An analytic module and a data lake receive performance data from the various data centers of a cellular network, such as a Regional Data Center, a National Data Center and an Edge Data Center. The analytic module will analyze the received performance data and apply artificial intelligence and machine learning to determine current resource use and estimate future resources available on various data centers of the cellular network. The appropriate data center is then selected to perform a particular network function.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for end-to-end overwatch of communication sessions in a network for fast failure recovery. At any time, network functions (NFs) can be supporting end-to-end connectivity for large numbers of concurrent active communication sessions. Conventionally, if one or more of the NFs fail, session context information can be irretrievably lost, and session connectivity is lost. Embodiments provide an overwatch system in an overwatch plane of the network to determine critical session context dataset (CSCDs) for NFs participating in active communication sessions, and to continuously take snapshots of the entire end-to-end context of active communication sessions in accordance with the CSCDs and endpoint information for the NFs. In the event of a session failure, embodiments generate recovery data from the recorded end-to-end context data, which can be used to rapidly restore full, end-to-end session connectivity, thereby maintaining the active communication session without a loss of session context.

    Abstract: Automated processes, computing systems, devices and other aspects of a wireless data network are described. According to various embodiments, message flooding in the wireless network is reduced through the use of "dummy" messages from the radio unit (RU) to the distributed unit (DU) and/or layer two (L2) switch. The dummy messages prevent timeout of the RU's data in the L2 switch's routing tables, thereby prolonging the period of time that the L2 switch is able to more efficiently direct subsequent traffic toward that particular device.

    Abstract: A network state tracking system tracks the state of a network and recommends an action when the state of the network changes. The network state tracking system detects one or more nodes on the network and generates one or more snapshots of the network. The snapshots are generated by obtaining first and second status data from the nodes and detecting whether a change in the network has occurred based on the status data. The snapshots are generated based on the first and second status data when a change in the network is detected. The snapshots are then used to train a machine learning model to recommend an action to take when a change in the network occurs.

    Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards providing 5G zero touch traffic management of cells in a network. A target cell associated with a network objective is identified. One or more neighbor cells are also identified. Transmit power and tilt capabilities of the target cell are determined. An interference between the target cell and the one or more neighbor cells is also determined. An electrical antenna tilt adjustment or a transmit power adjustment is determined for the target cell to apply based on the transmit power capabilities, the tilt capabilities, the interference, and the network objective. The determined electrical antenna tilt adjustment or the determined transmit power adjustment are then provided to the target cell. If the network objective is met after the target cell applies the electrical antenna tilt adjustment or the determined transmit power adjustment, then the changes are confirmed, otherwise they are reversed.

    Abstract: Various arrangements for operating a cellular network with advanced secondary operator privacy are presented herein. A first set of user equipment may communicate using a first radio unit and a first radio spectrum with a cellular network. A second set of user equipment may communicate with the cellular network using a second radio unit and a second radio spectrum. The second radio unit may be operated by a secondary operator distinct from the cellular network operator. The second radio unit may encrypt the second communications such that the cellular network cannot decrypt the second communications. The cellular network, can route the encrypted second communications of the second cellular network slice from the second radio unit to a data center operated by the secondary operatorseparate and distinct from the cellular network.
