Abstract:
An integrated apparatus and a process for precipitation and charcoal absorption of pesticide residues in agriculatural waste water solutions are disclosed.
Abstract:
A multiple, parallel packed column vaporizer (10) for vaporizing a chemical having a relatively low decomposition temperature includes a shell (12); a plurality of parallel, vertically oriented vaporization columns (34) arranged in the shell, each vaporization column having inner walls and upper (14) and lower (16) open ends; a distribution assembly (152) for distributing the chemical substantially equally to the open upper ends (14) of the vaporization columns (34), which flows downwardly therein; a fluid heat exchanger which heats the vaporization columns to provide the heat needed to vaporize the chemical therein; and a gas supply (132) which supplies the gas to the lower ends (16) of the vaporization columns (34) so that the chemical is vaporized and becomes entrained in the gas and is carried upwardly out of the vaporizer (10).
Abstract:
Partially epoxidized compounds obtained from Diels Alder adducts of dicyclopentadiene with fatty oils having a iodine number of 70 or greater and their transesterification products with C 1 to C 10 alkanols are disclosed. 100% solids radiation and heat curable coating compositions containing the epoxidized compounds and/or their transesterification products are also disclosed.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for manufacturing polyesters, in particular, to using a lithium titanyl oxalate as the catalyst for such reaction to provide fast reactions with excellent color properties for the resulting polyester. The present invention provides an improved method of producing polyester by the polycondensation of polyester forming reactants wherein the improvement comprises utilizing, as the polycondensation catalyst, lithium titanyl oxalate. The improved process produces a polyester of improved color verses other titanyl oxalate catalysts and a novel polyester without the presence of antimony.
