Abstract:
The roof (2) includes an opaque front part (3) and a transparent rear part (4) and is pivotally supported by two rear lateral supports (6) about a transverse axis (A). The boot lid (8) has a central recess (8b) in which the roof (2) is housed when it is pivoted backwards into the open position.
Abstract:
The automobile vehicle (1) having a bodywork (2) in which a member or panel (W) is mounted and is operationally cleaned without wipers, a frame (3) being associated with its perimeter or contour. The surface of the member or panel (W) which is external in operation is water-repellent. Ejector means (5, 6, A, B) associated with the member or panel (W) comprise: a first plurality of openings or nozzles (A) for the discharge of a liquid provided in the frame (3), oriented towards the external surface of the member or panel (W), a second plurality of openings or nozzles (B) for the discharge of a gaseous fluid also provided in the frame (3) and interspersed with the openings or nozzles (A) of the first plurality, a first manifold duct (5) provided in the frame (3) and communicating with at least part of the liquid discharge openings or nozzles (A), and a second manifold duct (6) provided in the frame (3) and communicating with at least part of the discharge openings or nozzles (B) of the gaseous fluid. The first and second manifold ducts (5, 6) are connected to respective supply devices (10, 14) adapted to supply them with a flow of liquid and a flow of gaseous fluid respectively. The preferably combined action of the jets of liquid and gaseous fluid emitted through the openings or nozzles (A, B) is adapted to cause a turbulent movement of the liquid on the external surface of the member or panel (W) and of the materials which may be incorporated in this liquid.
Abstract:
The openable roof system (R) comprises: a covering element or roof (3) which in the vicinity of its rear end (3b) is mounted rotatably about a horizontal axis (4) between two parallel side uprights (5) of the bodywork of the motor car (1) , close to the rear of the passenger compartment (2) , and; an essentially vertical stowage compartment (6) open towards the top, formed in the motor car (1) between and below said uprights (5) . The arrangement is such that the covering element or roof (3) can be pivoted about the axis (4) between a closed position, where it is arranged so as to lie at least approximately horizontally, and a midway open position, where it is arranged so as to lie substantially vertically. The covering element or roof (3) is then displaceable downwards from said midway open position into a final concealed position where it is contained so as to lie substantially vertically inside the stowage compartment (6) .

Abstract:
The sunroof system (R) comprises a cover or roof element (3) which swivels about a horizontal axis (4-4) between two facing uprights (5) projecting upwards above the body line (BL) of the bodywork of the motor vehicle (1), and a stowage compartment (7) open at the top, made in the motor vehicle (1) between and beneath the said uprights (5) . The cover or roof element (3) swivelling between a closed position in which it extends at least approximately horizontally and an open intermediate position in which it extends basically vertically, and then being movable downwards, from the open intermediate position towards a final hidden position in which it extends substantially vertically into the stowage compartment (7) . Between the uprights (5) a rear window (6) is fixed and with them forms an assembly that swivels about a horizontal transverse axis (B-B) near the body line (BL) of the motor vehicle (1), between an extracted or raised position in which the rear window (6) can connect with the roof (3) in the closed position, and a retracted or lowered position in which the uprights (5) extend partly below the said body line (BL) and the window (6) lies at least approximately horizontally.
Abstract:
An illumination device for motor vehicles includes four illuminating devices (2), for mounting at each of the four corners of the vehicle body. Each illumination device (2) has at least one axis of symmetry (A-A) and the said four illuminating devices (2) are shaped identically. Each of the said illuminating devices (2) contains four optical devices (5a, 5b, 5c, 5d) operable to act, at the front of the vehicle, as turn indicators and side lights, headlights, dipped headlights and side repeater turn indicator light, and, at the rear of the vehicle, as side light and turn indicator light, brake light, backing light and fog lamp.
Abstract:
A motorcar with an openable hard top is of the type in which the roof (2) comprises a front portion (3) connected releasably to the upper cross-member of the windscreen (5) and a transparent rear portion (4) which is articulated about a horizontal transverse axis (6) to two side pillars (7) of the body. The roof (2) can be opened in known manner by being pivoted rearwardly about the said transverse axis (6) until it bears on the rear boot lid (10) which has two front arms (11) that extend upwards and are articulated to the body about the same horizontal transverse axis (6) about which the roof (2) is articulated. When the roof is in the closed position, the end edge (4a) of the transparent rear portion (4) of the roof (2) is situated at the same height as the bases of the two side pillars (7) of the body to which the roof (2) is articulated. The transparent rear portion (4) of the roof acts as a rear window when the roof is in the closed position, and has a curved profile such as to act as an anti-turbulence element with respect to the passengers when the roof is in the open position.
Abstract:
A system (10) for generating electric current comprises a carriageway with two electrically connected lanes: a lane (20) with piezoelectric element electric current generating panels (12) (14) and a dynamic induction charging lane (18) for electrically charging an electric vehicle transiting the carriageway. Panels (12) electric current generators may be applied to forward-facing, submerged surfaces (24) of the hull (26) of a vessel, or applied to the forward-facing, outer surfaces of an aircraft.
