    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy sheet for planographic printing plate in which the occurrence of striped pattern is prevented by the improvement of the uniformity of rough surface by electrolytic etching and also to provide its manufacturing method and a planographic printing plate.
    SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy sheet has a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.2 to 0.4% Fe, 0.02 to 0.15% Si, 0.001 to 0.01% Cu, 0.01 to 0.1% Zn, 0.005 to 0.1% Mg, 0.003 to 0.05% Ti, 60 to 200 ppm, in total, of trace elements of Pb, V, Ga, Ni, Cr, Mn, Sn, In and Zr, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. Moreover, in the aluminum alloy sheet, the average value of grain size in a direction perpendicular to a rolling direction is made to ≤60 μm. The aluminum alloy sheet can be obtained by hot-rolling an alloy ingot with or without a homogenizing treatment at ≤550°C.

SOLUTION: The image formable element comprises a hydrophilic substrate, a lower layer, a barrier layer, and an upper layer, wherein the upper layer contains a first polymerized material, the lower layer contains a second polymerized material, the barrier layer contains a third polymerized material, the upper layer is ink-receptive and insoluble in an alkali developing solution, all of the upper layer, barrier layer and lower layer can be removed with an alkali developing solution after exposure of the element to heat, the lower layer contains a photothermal conversion material and the barrier layer and upper layer do not substantially contain a photothermal conversion material.
