PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for a planographic printing plate capable of writing an image with laser light and having high resolution, high sensitivity and good shelf stability, an image forming method for the original plate, and a photosensitive composition suitable for use in the original plate. SOLUTION: The photosensitive composition contains an aqueous resin composition comprising fine particles (a) comprising a heat fusible resin having a neutralized anionic group and 1-30 wt.% water-soluble resin (b) having a neutralized anionic group and a material (c) which absorbs light and generates heat. The original plate for a planographic printing plate is obtained by disposing a photosensitive layer comprising the photosensitive composition on the hydrophilic surface of a base. In the image forming method, an image is formed in the photosensitive layer of the original plate with laser light and developed with a basic aqueous solution or water.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a photosensitive printing plate excellent in vacuum adhesion, having resistance to wear and pressure, free from surface stickiness in use and causing no problem on developability, etc., after long-time storage. SOLUTION: The photosensitive printing plate 1 has a substrate 2, a photosensitive layer 3 formed on the substrate 2 and mat particles 4 formed on the photosensitive layer 3. The mat particles 4 contain a copolymer containing (meth)acrylamides as constituent units and are formed by dissolving the copolymer in a solvent and applying the resulting solution on the photosensitive layer 3.
