Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a measured analytic object by allowing a separation reagent bound with magnetic particles to react with measured analytic object to form a complex, and moving the magnetic particle between receptacles by a mobile container to move a detection head. SOLUTION: A well 2 is linearly placed in a plate 1, and a cylindrical sheath 4 is provided in a mobile container 3. The mobile container 3 possesses a pointed end at a conical body 6 at a lower end, a handle 7 controlling a vertical position at an upper end, and accommodates a movable pin 11 provided with a magnet 10 in a hole 9. When a inspected sample, magnetic particles 8, and the mobile container 3 are introduced into the well 2, the movable pin 11 is located at the upper part, and the magnetic particles 8 moves freely in the well 2. The measured analytic object reacts with a separation reagent having covered the magnet particles 8 to form an immune complex, and the mobile container 3 moves in the well 2 to promote mixing. After incubation, the magnetic particles 8 collect at the surface of the mobile container 3 to be transferred to the next well, and the particles are released and further aggregated for cleaning and tracer reaction, and the measurement needed is done in the last well.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain a sufficient suction quantity in spite of a short stroke and to assure an excellent sealing property by forming one set of passages of plural elements in such a manner that at least one element has at least two connected passages. SOLUTION: The respective passages 5 in the main body 4 of the multichannel pipette 1 have cylinders provided with pistons. These cylinders are manufactured from the elements 14. The elements 14 include respectively two pieces of tubes 15. The many elements 14 are adjacently arranged in correspondence to the desired even number of the passages 5 and the main body 4 has suitable means for maintaining the connected elements 14 in the prescribed positions in correspondence thereto. The top ends of the elements 14 are provided with a common main body member 16. The adjacent cylinders are extended downward from the bottom of the main body member 16. The outside surfaces, which come into contact with each other, of the main body member 16 are formed to a plane form. The main body member is formed to such a size at which the distances between the tubes existing in the adjacent elements are equal to the distances between the tubes existing in the same elements.

The pipette of such pipette with the jet part is constituted to have the replaceable cover to be installed in the jet part above the jet container 6. Consequently, the infiltration of the molecules sticking to the jet part of the pipette may be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To wash a cuvette set, by arranging it at the holder of a rotor, moving an administration tip to each row of the cuvette set properly and to the cuvette, supplying a washing liquid, rotating the rotor, and unloading the liquid. CONSTITUTION: When a knob 39 is selected and pressed, a pump 7 rotates and a rotor 10 for filling liquid into a hose 5 and a liquid administration tip 8 are located at a position where the liquid does not drop on a holder 11 at motors 21, 14. After the liquid is filled into the hose, a cover 26 is opened and closed and a cuvette set is filled into the holder 11. After the knob is selected and pushed and then the rotor is rotated for approximately three times, a motor 14 keeps the rotor 10 and the cuvett set at an administration position by a disk 15 and a reading fork 16, and the motor 21 moves the administration tip 8 onto a first row. The motor 7 rotates and fills a washing liquid. The tip 8 is retracted and the rotor 10 is rotated. By selecting switches 36-38, filling/ unloading are repeated for a predetermined number of times. With this configuration, the cuvett set can be washed without damaging its bottom.
