Abstract:
A Web-based authentication system and method, the system comprising at least one Web client station, at least one Web server station and an authentication center. The Web client station is linked to a Web cloud, and provides selected biometric data of an individual who is using the Web client station. The Web server station is also linked to the Web cloud. The authentication center is linked to at least one of the Web client and Web server stations so as to receive the biometric data. The authentication center, having records of one or more enrolled individuals, provides for comparison of the provided data with selected records. The method comprises the steps of (i) establishing parameters associated with selected biometric characteristics to be used in authentication; (ii) acquiring, at the Web client station, biometric data in accordance with the parameters; (iii) receiving, at an authentication center, a message that includes biometric data; (iv) selecting, at the authentication center, one or more records from among records associated with one or more enrolled individuals; and (v) comparing the received data with selected records. The comparisons of the system and method are to determine whether the so-compared live data sufficiently matches the selected records so as to authenticate the individual seeking access of the Web server station, which access is typically to information, services and other resources provided by one or more application servers associated with the Web server station.

Abstract:
A measuring system for a 3D object includes a base, a horizontal scanning device disposed on the base, a first light emitting device, a second light emitting device, an image capture device, and a control device. The first light emitting device, the second light emitting device, and the image capture device are connected to the horizontal scanning device. The control device controls the horizontal scanning device to cause planar motion relative to the base. With the control of the control device, the first light emitting device and the second light emitting device alternate in projecting a light source onto a 3D object. The image capture device includes a double-sided telecentric lens to capture a plurality of images of the 3D object when the light source is projected onto the 3D object.
Abstract:
A method for searching data and a method for planning itinerary are provided. At least one contact is selected from a contact list so as to set a point of interest (POI) list associated with the at least one contact as a specific data source. A POI category is decided. A preset search range is obtained based on a reference location so as to search the specific data source for obtaining a search result conformed to the POI category and the preset search range, and the search result is displayed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a near zero current-ripple inversion circuit including top and bottom cells, a transformer (T1) comprising primary windings (P1, P2) and a secondary winding (S1), and at least one middle cell connected in series between the top and bottom cells. The top cell comprises two capacitors (C1, C2) and a switch (Q1) each connecting to the middle cell, and an inductor (Lr1) and the primary winding (P1) connected in series between the capacitor (C1) and switch (Q1), wherein the switch (Q1) is connected to the capacitors (C1, C2) respectively. The bottom cell comprises a capacitor (C3) and a switch (Q2) each connecting to the middle cell, and an inductor (Lr2) and the primary winding (P2) connected in series between the capacitor (C3) and switch (Q2), wherein the primary winding (P2) is connected to the middle cell, and the capacitor (C3) and switch (Q2) are connected.
Abstract:
An inductor includes a base device having a parallelepiped chamber formed by two side surfaces and two end surfaces, a parallelepiped conductive device engaged into the parallelepiped chamber of the base device and having a parallelepiped compartment and having two terminals engaged onto an upper surface of the base device, and a core engaged into the parallelepiped compartment of the conductive device. The conductive device is planar and includes a rectangular cross section having a reduced dimension or structure for allowing the inductor to be easily and quickly and attached onto the surfaces of the electric circuit boards with surface mount devices.
Abstract:
A reinforced bicycle frame is made from a fiber-reinforced material. The reinforced bicycle frame includes a head tube, a top tube extending from the head tube, a down tube extending from the head tube beneath the top tube, and at least one rib. The insides of the head, top and down tubes are communicated with each other in a way that the head, top and down tubes combinedly form a frame head having an inner surface defining a chamber. The rib has a connection end connected with the inner surface of the frame head and a free end located in the chamber, thereby enhancing the structural strength of the bicycle frame.
Abstract:
A racket includes a main body, a replaceable grip sleeve, a nut and a bolt. The main body has a frame, a handle having at least one hole, and a bridge connected between the frame and the handle. The replaceable grip sleeve is sleeved onto the handle and provided with at least one through hole aimed at the hole of the handle. The bolt is inserted through the through hole of the replaceable grip sleeve and screwingly engaged with the nut disposed in the hole of the handle. The user can replace the replaceable grip sleeve of a predetermined size to meet his/her need.
Abstract:
An inductor includes a base member having an upper channel which has a height “H” greater than a width “W” of the upper channel of the base member, a conductive member includes a conductive plate engaged into the upper channel of the base member, and a top member is attached onto the base member and engaged with the base member for solidly retaining the conductive member between the top member and the base member. The conductive member includes one or more side plates extended from the conductive plate for engaging onto the end portion of the base member. Abstract:
A bicycle front fork includes an upright tube and an inverted U-shaped body having a crown and two blades downwardly and respectively extending from two ends of the crown. The crown includes a top wall through which the upright tube penetrates, a bottom wall abuttedly connected with a bottom end of the upright tube, a front wall connected between the top wall and the bottom wall and spaced from the upright tube, and a rear wall connected between the top wall and the bottom wall and spaced from the upright tube. The blades each have a tubular shape with an intermediate rib therein. By this way, the amount of fiber fabric prepreg used at the joint between the upright tube and the inverted U-shaped body for structure reinforcement can be reduced, such that the bicycle front fork is light in weight and strong in structural strength.
