Abstract:
SYNTHETIC CRYSTALLINE ZEOLITES ARE PREAPRED BY TREATING NATURAL GLASSES, SUCH AS LIPARI PUMICE, AND SYNTHETIC GLASSES PREPARED BY MELTING A SUITABLE MIXTURE OF OXIDES OR SILICOALUMINATES WITH AN ALKALINE SOLUTION AT A TEMPERATURE WITHIN THE RANGE OF 50*C. TO 150*C. UNTIL THE CRYSTALLINE ZEOLITE FORMS. FAUJASITE IS PREPARED BY TREATING EACH OF PULVERIZED PUMICE AND A SYNTHETIC GLASS HAVING THE COMPOSITION 3NA2O.AL2O3.4SIO2 WITH A SODIUM HYDROXIDE SOLUTION AT AN ELEVATED TEMPERATURE.
Abstract:
There are provided novel triene hydrocarbons, having at least two conjugated double bonds, and being of the general formula IN WHICH A is a radical consisting of a ring containing an endomethylene group; B may be both a linear alkadiene radical and a substituted and unsubstituted alkene or cycloalkene radical; Ro may be hydrogen, an aryl or an alkyl radical, n is a number ranging from 0 to 3; and m is 0 or 1. If n is not 0, m is 0; if n is 0, m is 0 or 1.
Abstract:
A SPINNING HEAD FOR MELT SPINNING OF COMPOSITE FILAMENTS COMPRISED OF TWO POLYMERS OF EQUAL SEMI-CIRCULAR CROSS-SECTION IN WHICH THE MATING FACES OF A DISTRIBUTION PLATE AND A SPINNERET PLATE FORM TWO SEPARATE ANNULAR CAVITIES EACH COMMUNICATING WITH A DIFFERENT POLYMER SUPPLY CONTAINED IN THE DISTRIBUTION PLATE. A PLURALITY OF EXTRUSION HOLES IN THE SPINNERET PLATE HAVE THEIR UPPER END PORTIONS OF SEMI-CIRCULAR CROSS-SECTION COMMUNICATION WITH ONE OF THE ANNULAR CAVITIES AND THE REMAINING PORTIONS OF CIRCULAR CROSS-SECTION COMMUNICATING WITH THE OTHER ANNULAR CAVITY.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To monitor the state and locate a protective coating by applying sine wave exciting currents of different frequency to a pipe line and determining presence of separated coating based on a corresponding voltage response. CONSTITUTION: Sine wave exciting currents of different frequency are applied from a signal generator 10 in a measuring unit 9 through a protrusion to a pipe line 1. A meter 13 detects a voltage response induced by the exciting current. A decision is made whether a defect 3 or a separation 5 is present in the protective coating 2 of the pipe line 1 based on the response of different amplitude to the sine wave of different frequency. In case of a defect 3, a significant variation can be recognized in the amplitude of voltage response when the frequency is varied in the range of 10-1Hz, for example. In case of a separation 5 due to corrosion, substantially invariant amplitude of voltage response is recognized. More specifically, application of sine wave of different frequency causes to spread the voltage response for the defect 3 and produces a substantially matched response for the separation 5.

PURPOSE: To remove acid gas at low cost and efficiently by absorbing an acid gas such as H2 S and/or CO2 with an aq. solvent containing a specified compd. then stripping the obtained soln.. CONSTITUTION: The gas to be treated containing H2 S and CO2 is supplied to an absorption vessel 2 through a line 1, and also an absorbent soln. is supplied to the absorption vessel 2 through a line 3 at a site under several steps from a top part. An aq. soln. containing 30-70 wt.% dimethylethanolamine and

PURPOSE: To improve selectivity, stability and reproducibility of a gas detection element. CONSTITUTION: In using a gas detection element for detecting a gas of hydrocarbon in a gas mixture, two detecting elements are heated at different temperatures, and one is used as a reference element. The element is formed by heating.processing a film deposited in a silk screen method at high temperatures and connected to an electronic evaluation circuit.
