Abstract:
A body waste collecting device comprising an adhesive composite that fastens a collecting bag to the skin is disclosed. The adhesive composite is highly moisture resistant while still being water absorbing. The adhesivecomposite comprises at least three layers, a backing layer, a moisture absorbing layer and a thin layer of vapour permeable, low-absorbing adhesive layer.
Abstract:
An ostomy appliance 1 comprising a front wall 2 and a rear wall 3 of flexible material forming a bag, said rear wall 3 having an opening 4 for receiving a stoma, and said rear wall also being provided with an adhesive wafer 5 for securing the appliance 1 to a user's skin, said wafer having a hole 6 being aligned with the opening 4 for receiving the stoma, wherein the opening has an edge 7, 7' being secured to the surface of the adhesive wafer 5 facing away from the user in an attachment zone 8 surrounding the hole 6 of the wafer 5, wherein a first part of the edge 7 of the opening 4 of the gab is secured to the surface of the wafer 5 in a corresponding first part of the attachment zone, and wherein a second, remaining part 7' of the edge of the opening 4 of the bag is prepared for adhesive sealing of the same to the remaining second part of the attachment zone renders it possible for a nurse to observe the stoma area during adaptation of such a sealing member when applying one-piece appliances.
Abstract:

Abstract:
An ostomy appliance for attachment to a stoma, comprising an adhesive wafer ( 100 ) a first part of which is covered by a first release liner ( 104 ) and a second part of which is covered by a second release liner ( 106 ). At least one of the two release liners defines an attached part which in an initial state is attached to the skin facing adhesive layer ( 102 ), and a foldable part which in a folded state is folded such that it covers at least a part of the attached part and such that it is not in direct contact with the skin facing adhesive layer. A cutting guide ( 120 ) is printed onto the at least a part of the attached part and the foldable part.
Abstract:
A base plate comprising an adhesive wafer and a convex supporting device. An ostomy appliance comprising a base plate with an adhesive wafer and a convex supporting device.
Abstract:
A body waste collecting device comprising a collecting pouch and an adhesive wafer for attachment to the body, said adhesive wafer comprises a backing layer, a first adhesive, a second adhesive and a release liner, wherein said second adhesive comprises a polar plasticising oil or a combination of polar plasticising oils in the content of above 10% (w/w) of the final second adhesive, and at least one polar polyethylene copolymer, wherein the content of the polyethylene copolymer is 10-50% (w/w) of the final second adhesive, the polyethylene copolymer has a melt flow index below 2 g/10min (190°C/21.1 N), and wherein the thickness of the second adhesive is 300-700 μm
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a kit comprising at least one base plate for adhesive attachment to the skin around at least one body opening. The kit further comprises at least one separate peripheral device for attachment to the base plate. The base plate comprises a backing layer, having a proximal side facing the user during use, where a skin friendly adhesive is disposed on said proximal side of the backing layer and wherein the base plate is an intact base plate thereby allowing a hole to be cut at a desired position before use. The separate peripheral device comprises a continuous adhesive ring for permanent adhesive attachment between the continuous adhesive ring of the peripheral device and the distal side of the backing layer of the base plate. This allows the user to provide a custom fit for irregular body openings.
Abstract:
A body waste collecting device comprising a pressure sensitive adhesive construction for attaching a collecting pouch on human skin containing at least two layers of adhesive. The two layers differ in that the skin facing layer of adhesive is softer and more dissipative in nature than the non-skin facing layer of adhesive.
