Abstract: PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Broussonetia kazinoki Sieb extract with stabilized nano liposome for skin whitening is provided to suppress melanogenesis and pigmentation. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains stabilized Broussonetia kazinoki Sieb extract as an active ingredient. The composition is used for suppressing melanogenesis. The content of the Broussonetia kazinoki Sieb extract is 0.001-50 weight% based on total weight of the composition. A method for manufacturing Broussonetia kazinoki Sieb extract comprises: a step of drying Broussonetia kazinoki Sieb and slicing; and a step of performing cold infusion, maceration with warm water, or percolation of the sliced Broussonetia kazinoki Sieb using polar solvent of water, ethanol, butanol, or acetone, non-polar solvent of ether, hexane, benzene, chloroform, or ethyl acetate, or soybean oil. The infusion and percolation are performed for 12-96 hours and maceration is performed for 0.5-24 hours.
