Abstract: PURPOSE: A method of making the subjected cereal by coating cereal with pinitol from soy hulls showing significant anti-hypercholesterolemic activity and a Monascus spp. extract containing mevinolin showing significant cholesterol-lowering activity is provided. The product is increased in storage stability and effective in reducing blood sugar levels and blood cholesterol level while exhibiting excellent esthetic and sensory properties. CONSTITUTION: Pinitol or its processed product containing above 10% by weight of pinitol, and mevinolin or its processed product containing above 0.1% by weight of mevinolin are coated on cereal successively. In the coating process, 0.0003 to 0.05% by weight of an antioxidant and 0.1 to 0.5% by weight of vegetable oil are added to improve stability of mevinolin. The antioxidant is rutin, vitamin C, rosemary extract, grapefruit extract or the like. The vegetable oil is olive oil, sunflower seed oil, evening primrose oil or the like.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A natural dye method of timber is provided to manufacture excellent natural dye timber with high durability in an economical and a simple method. CONSTITUTION: Natural dye is extracted from white pine by using mixed liquid generated by mixing water, ethanol, methanol, ethyl acetate, and ferment alcohol. The timber is dyed with the extracted natural dye extract. Solvent is fermentation solution including ethanol concentration of 95 % ( v/v) to 1 % ( v/v). The rate of solvent and white pine bark is a volume ratio of 1 to 3 or 1 to 50. The timer is immersed in the dye during 72 hours by controlling the temperature of the extract.

Abstract: Functional feed and feed additives including pine tree bark as an active ingredient are provided to utilize pine tree bark which is hitherto discarded as by-products of forest resources and to give quality livestock products.
