Abstract: A protective film for a display optical material is provided to minimize minute smudge problem and the degradation of antifouling property generated when the protective film tackifying layer is transferred to a base of a display optical material layer caused by weak heat-proof and moisture proof property of the protective film tackifying layer. A protective film for the display optical material is that an adhesive composition is coated on a base. An adhesive composition comprises 100 parts by weight of an acrylic copolymer resin with the average molecular weight of 300,000 ~ 2,000,000 and 0.1-20 parts by weight of a hardener. The acrylic copolymer resin has the molecular weight distribution of 1~4. The glass transition temperature of the acrylic copolymer resin is -50deg.C ~ -20deg.C. The hardeness(gelling fraction) of the adhesive composition is 60~99%.
