PURPOSE: An apparatus for setting font size of a portable terminal having a touch screen is provided to exactly touch a menu on the touch screen by applying suitable character size for a user. CONSTITUTION: If an execution request of a font size setting mode is inputted, a controller(210) executes the font size setting mode, and senses a touch of a finger on a touch screen(110). A controller detects the area of touched domain, and displays a font size corresponding to the touched area to a specific area of the touch screen. If the request for the setting of the changed character size is inputted, the controller stores the character size, and applies the character size to the touch screen.

A method and an apparatus for operation in a portable terminal with a first display unit and a second display unit are provided to check a display unit corresponding to a detected inclination and execute a preset function through the selected display unit, thereby enabling a user to use multimedia functions conveniently and preventing power consumption. A method for operation in a portable terminal comprises the following steps of: detecting the inclination of the portable terminal(S402); activating the first display unit when the detected inclination corresponds to the activation of the first display unit(S403,S404); executing a preset function through the activated first display unit(S405); and inactivating a second display unit when the first display unit is activated(S406).

A biaxial rotation-type portable communication terminal and a controlling method thereof are provided to enable a display device to be cradled as being inclined in more than two types on a body housing, thus a user can more conveniently watch on a displayed screen. A body housing(100) is equipped with at least more than one of keys(113). A rotational housing(200) is equipped with at least more than one display device(220), and is connected on the body housing(100) at the first and second hinge shafts(A1,A2). The rotational housing(200) is folded or unfolded by rotating in a direction near to or far away on the body housing(100) at the first hinge shaft(A1), and is folded or unfolded by rotating in a direction near to or far away on the body housing(100) at the second hinge shaft(A2).

A method for editing an audio file in a portable terminal is provided to create a characteristic audio file according to a user's taste by enabling the user to easily and exactly set up and regenerate a desired section of an audio file by various ways. If a user selects an audio file(S210), a control part displays the information associated with the selected audio file through a display part(S220). Then the control part judges whether a period setup request is made from the user(S230). If the user makes the period setup request, the control part displays a period setup screen through the display part(S240). If the user inputs a start point and an end point in the displayed period setup screen, the control part sets up the period between the inputted points as an appointed period(S250). The control part judges whether the user makes another period setup request(S260). If another period setup request is not made, the control part completes period setup, creates the appointed period into a new audio file, and stores it in a memory(S270).

본 발명은 하이브리드 신체 인식을 위한 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해 본 발명은 입력된 이미지로부터 신체 인식을 위해 사용되는 신체 정보를 산출하고, 산출된 신체 정보를 이용하여 학습 기반 신체 인식 방식으로 신체 영역을 검출한 후 모델링 기반 신체 인식 방식으로 검출된 신체 영역의 움직임을 추적함으로써 보다 정교하고 정확한 신체 인식을 빠르게 수행할 수 있게 된다.

A method and apparatus are provided for enhancing the readability of a character. The method includes determining ambient light of a mobile terminal and controlling background color and character color of a character image according to the determined ambient light. The method may further include performing an additional control according to the types of displays when controlling the background color and character color. Through this, it is possible to display a character image with enhanced visibility, while minimizing current consumption.

PURPOSE: An apparatus for providing feedback according to a user input pattern and a method thereof are provided to offer an amusement by offering various types of feedbacks corresponding to the user input. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen(160) comprises a touch panel(162) and a screen(161). A controller(120) detects a haptic pattern about a vibration which is generated coping with a user input pattern by a touch input and a haptic audio pattern about the audio which is outputted coping with the haptic pattern.
