Abstract: An electronic apparatus and a power control method thereof are provided to reduce standby power consumption by allowing a power supply unit to supply standby power to a main control unit according to control of an auxiliary control unit when receiving a power supply signal from a power input unit. An electronic apparatus(100) includes a system unit(10), a power supply unit(20), a main control unit(30), a power input unit(40), a battery unit(50), and an auxiliary control unit(60). The system unit performs at least one operation. The power supply unit supplies system power to the system unit. The main control unit receives standby power from the power supply unit and controls the power supply unit to supply the system power to the system unit. The power input unit controls the main control unit so that the power supply unit supplies the system power to the system unit. The battery unit supplies battery power smaller than the standby power. The auxiliary control unit controls the power supply unit to supply the standby power to the main control unit when detecting operation of the power input unit by receiving the battery power from the battery unit.
