Abstract: PURPOSE: A user-authenticable display device and a method thereof are provided to prevent the exposure of user authentication information by performing user authentication based on objects having different shapes on a screen. CONSTITUTION: A UI(User Interface) unit(110) displays objects having different shapes on a screen and moves a display position of the objects according to user selection and a storage unit(120) stores information about a set authentication pattern. If a location pattern of the moved patterns accords with the authentication pattern, a control unit(130) performs user authentication. The UI unit displays the objects on a first area and displays a target location area to which the object is moved on a second area. If the objects are moved into the target location area, the control unit compares the location pattern of the moved objects with the authentication pattern to perform the user authentication.
