Abstract: An ink-jet printhead is provided. The ink-jet printhead includes: a substrate, on the rear surface of which a channel having a bottom is formed with a predetermined depth, wherein a plurality of ink feed holes are formed on the bottom of the channel; a nozzle plate which is coupled to a front surface of the substrate and on which a plurality of chamber-orifice complex holes are formed, wherein each chamber-orifice complex hole corresponds to one or more ink feed holes among the plurality of ink feed holes; and a plurality of heaters which is formed on the front surface of the substrate corresponding to the chamber-orifice complex holes, respectively. Accordingly, the ink-jet printhead can effectively increase ink ejection pressure by effectively suppressing a back flow of ink, while providing for a high resolution image by making the volume of a droplet uniform or very small. Further, the ink feed hole is provided for each chamber-orifice complex hole, thereby preventing degradation in the physical strength of the substrate. In particular, the structure of a channel for supplying ink is significantly simplified.

Abstract: An ink jet printer head and method for discharging ink in an ink chamber through a nozzle hole by a fluid pressure of air. The ink jet printer head having a fluid chamber defined on or in a side of a silicon plate to be charged with a fluid, such as air, and a through-hole which communicates with an ink chamber. The ink jet printer head opens the through-hole by operating a piezo-actuator, pressures ink in the ink chamber, and pushes a tail of the ink during ink discharge. Accordingly, uniform shapes of ink droplets can be obtained resulting in a high resolution print.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Print head structure of an inkjet printer is provided not to have a process for forming a manifold and to prevent the mechanical strength from getting weak by a manifold, by not forming a manifold passing through a substrate, and using a space between two plates as a manifold. CONSTITUTION: Plural ink discharge ports are formed on two substrates(120a,120b). Heaters(125) for generating bubbles are mounted on the surface of each substrate. Walls(127) are formed at both left and right sides of the heaters to form ink chambers respectively. Bonding pads(126,126') are connected to the tip of wires(134,134') for feeding an electric signal. Each ink discharge ports are driven and controlled according to the electric signal. The bonding pads and the wire are made by metals such as Al at the same time. The substrates of a print head have no additional manifold. In the print head, a manifold is not formed but a space between the substrates is used as a manifold. Thereby, an additional process for forming a manifold is not required. In addition, the mechanical strength of the print head is kept regular.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An inkjet printing head is provided to improve energy efficiency by forming bubble on upper and lower chambers through heat of a heater and to increase a printer speed by reducing period of the bubble through refrigerating the chambers. CONSTITUTION: An inkjet printing head comprises first and second chambers(201,222) filling ink through ink inlet passages(202,223); a heater(211) receiving electric current through an electrode(212); a nozzle groove(213) pushing up the ink toward the second chamber; an orifice(221) discharging the ink from the second chamber; and an ink inlet passage(223). The heater radiates to generate bubble(B) in the first and second chambers. The nozzle groove of the first chamber prevents the ink of the second chamber from reverse flowing. The bubble generated in the first chamber increases inner pressure of the first chamber to push the ink into the second chamber. Thereby, the inkjet printing head improves energy efficiency by forming the bubble on upper and lower chambers through the heat.
