Abstract:
PURPOSE: A forward link data service apparatus and method of a handoff terminal of a CDMA system are provided to improve a reception detection performance and heighten a data transfer rate by reducing an influence of an interference signal between sectors belonging to an active set through scheduling between sectors belonging to the active set. CONSTITUTION: When a terminal 'A' is selected(511), an alpha sector scheduler checks whether itself can transmits a packet by using a data received from an arbiter of a memory storing an idle sector(513). If the alpha sector scheduler recognizes that itself has not been stored through the arbiter of the memory storing the idle sectors, the alpha sector scheduler observes an active set of the terminal 'A' that itself is going to do a service(517). If there is a different sector in the active set of the terminal, the alpha sector scheduler requests an idle sector registration from the arbiter of the memory storing the idle sector. The memory arbiter updates the idle sector according to the idle sector registration request of the alpha sector scheduler(519). The memory arbiter informs each sector scheduler of the data on the updating of the idle sector. When the alpha sector scheduler receives the update data, the alpha sector scheduler transmits a packet data to the terminal 'A'(521). When the packet is completely transmitted, the arbiter of the idle sector memory deletes other sector values of the active set remembered before transmitting the packet stored in the idle sector region(523).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for selectively requesting packet retransmission in a mobile system is provided to improve the throughput by increasing a channel adaptation speed in a link adaptation method and an ARQ(Automatic Repeat reQuest) method used in a mobile system. CONSTITUTION: A terminal searches a preamble every time a time slot is received and confirms whether a packet is received from a base station(S310). If a packet is received, the terminal checks the length of the preamble in order to confirm whether the received packet has a low data transfer rate(S320). In case that the packet has a low data transfer rate, the terminal measures a pilot C/I(Carrier to Interference ratio) value for a forward pilot channel or a forward pilot symbol corresponding to the time slot interval at which the present packet was transmitted(S330). The measured pilot C/I value is compared with the first threshold(S340). In case that the pilot C/I value is larger than the first threshold, the terminal decodes the present packet and checks an error through the CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check)(S350). In case that there is no error(S360), the terminal transmits an ACK signal to the base station(S370).

본 발명은 음성과 데이터 서비스를 위한 부호분할 다중접속시스템에서 올바른 기지국을 선택하고 최적의 데이터 전송율을 결정하기 위한 방법과 장치에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 발명은 기지국이 서로 다른 직교부호로 직교확산된 두 파일롯신호의 전력의 비를 음성의 부하와 관련이 있도록 전송하고, 단말기가 상기 전송된 파일롯신호를 이용하여 음성서비스의 부하량을 추정한다.

There is provided a method and apparatus for selecting an appropriate base station and an optimal data rate to provide a voice service and a data service based on a voice service load in a CDMA system. A base station transmits two pilot signals orthogonally spread with different orthogonal codes in association with its voice service load, and a mobile station estimates the voice service load based on a pilot power ratio.
Abstract:
There is provided a method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving data rate control (DRC) information in a mobile telecommunication system for transmitting packet data. To determine a data rate on the forward link in a mobile telecommunication system such as an HDR system, DRC information is transmitted on the reverse link only in time for scheduling user data. An access network (AN) transmits a DRC request indicator (DRI) bit or an access terminal (AT) detects preambles of all users or its own preamble in order to control transmission of the DRC information. Along with the DRC information transmission control, some ATs are controlled to transmit pilot channels and RRI channels at different time points from other ATs. Therefore, interference load on the reverse link is reduced and the system capacity of the reverse link is increased.
Abstract:
A communication method in a mobile communication system in which an access terminal transmits to an access network DRC information indicating a selected one of forward data rates requested by the access terminal is provided. The access network designates a DRC information length DRC Length indicating a number of slots where the DRC information is repeated and transmits the designated DRC information length to the access terminal. The access terminal gates transmission of DRC information to the access terminal at one time slot in every DRC information length received from the access network.

본 발명은 부호분할다중접속방식의 이동통신시스템에서 전송할 데이터가 없는 상태가 소정 시간동안 유지될 시 전용채널을 단속하는 채널 송신장치 및 방법에 관해 개시하고 있다. 본 발명에 따른 채널 송신장치는 일정 시간 동안 전용데이터채널을 통한 데이터의 전송이 이루어지지 않으면 영방향 링크의 전용제어채널을 소정 게이팅율에 의해 단속함을 제안한다. 또한, 양방향 링크의 전용제어채널을 단속함에 있어 양방향 링크에 각각 대응하는 전용제어채널의 게이팅율을 상이하게 하여 단속함을 제안하고 있다. 따라서, 양방향 링크의 간섭을 줄이고, 사용 시간을 감소시킬 뿐만 아니라 전력 제어율 및 전력제어지연을 줄임으로서 셀 용량의 증대와 양방향 링크의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A device for transmitting intermittent channels in a communication system of a code division multiple access(CDMA) is provided to minimize a time taken in a synchronization recapturing step of a base station to simultaneously prevent an interference between links from being increased, so as to reduce a using time of a mobile station to improve a service capacity. The device is provided to make gating rates of both links different, so as to raise a power control rate to increase a capacity improvement and a cell capacity by reducing a power control delay. CONSTITUTION: A mobile station equips an intermittent transmission controller which controls an intermittent transmission of a reverse dedicated control channel signal according to a gating rate corresponding to an up-link. A base station equips an intermittent transmission controller which controls an intermittent transmission of a forward dedicated control channel signal according to a gating rate corresponding to a down-link.

PURPOSE: A maximum transmitting power limiting device of antenna in transmission switching diversity system and a method therefor is provided to improve performance relative to costs due to use of a transmission amplifier consuming low power. CONSTITUTION: The maximum transmitting power limiting device of antenna in transmission switching diversity system comprises: at least two antennas; plural user channels; switching units(131) connected to said channel to switch the user data generated through said channel into said antennas; and plural controllers(132) respectively connected to said switching units to control them. The transmitting power aligned to said two antennas is detected when new user data are generated. The value which the user data are added to the transmitting power of an antenna among said antennas having minimum transmitting power is aligned and transmitted to the antenna having less value than prescribed maximum transmitting power limit value.
