Abstract:
본 발명은 이동통신 시스템에서 레이크 수신기의 임계값을 설정하는 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 다중 경로를 통해 수신된 신호를 복조하는 레이크 수신기에서 다중 경로에 할당된 복조기들이 다중 경로의 신호들을 수신하여 복조하면, 신호세기 측정기들은 상기 다중 경로의 신호들에 대해 신호세기들을 측정하고 비교기들은 상기 측정된 신호세기들을, 기준 임계값을 포함하는 미리 설정된 복수의 임계값들과 각각 비교한다. 그러면 임계값 결정기는 상기 기준 임계값 이상의 신호세기를 가지는 경로들의 개수가 미리 정해지는 소정 개수 이상이면 상기 미리 설정된 복수의 임계값들 중 최대의 임계값을 선택하며, 심볼 결합기는 상기 선택된 임계값 이상의 신호세기를 가지는 경로들의 복조기들로부터 출력되는 복조 신호들을 결합한다. 이로써 본 발명은 레이크 수신기의 수신성능을 향상시킨다.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for processing audio signals in the case of executing a voice call in a mobile terminal which can receive DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) signals are provided to execute a voice call without being disturbed by broadcast signals in case that a user executes a voice call while watching a digital multimedia broadcast. CONSTITUTION: A control part judges whether an incoming call is generated(211). If an incoming call is generated, the control part informs the user of it according to a preset mode(213). Then the control part judges whether the SEND key is inputted(215). If the SEND key is inputted, the control part judges that a voice call request has been made by the user. Then the control part judges whether a digital multimedia broadcast is being received(219). If it is judged that a digital multimedia broadcast is being received, the control part controls a decoding part so as not to decode the audio signals outputted from a demultiplexer(221). After controlling the decoding part, the control part connects a voice call(223). Afterwards the control part judges whether the voice call comes to an end(223). If the voice call is completed, the control part controls the decoding part so as to resume the decoding of audio signals(227).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for seizing a spreading code of a direct sequence spread spectrum system, and an apparatus thereof are provided to realize PN code seizure without being affected by data modulation, and realize balance to PN code correlation values in comparing the PN code correlation values for assigning a path. CONSTITUTION: Received signals are inputted to a despreader(30). A PN(pseudo noise) code generator(32) generates a PN code formed of a plurality of chips. The despreader(30) despreads the received signals with the PN code. An accumulator(36) accumulates the despreaded signals for a predetermined symbol interval after a correlation start command is inputted by a controller(38). A correlator(40) measures correlation energy to the accumulated symbols. The controller(38) judges success of PN code seizure according to the measured correlation energy, and decides whether demodulation is to be executed. An identifying unit(34) identifies a pilot symbol interval and a modulation data interval by the PN code generated from the PN code generator(32). The identifying unit(34) seizes a start point of a pilot symbol, and counts the number of chips generated from the PN code generator(32) for outputting an identifier. The controller(38) identifies the pilot symbol interval and the modulation data interval according to the inputted identifier, and decides whether the correlation is to be executed for only symbol interval or for both symbol interval and the modulation data interval.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for determining a threshold value of a rake receiver are provided to exclude a signal of a path having a receive signal strength not greater than a certain threshold value from symbol combination. CONSTITUTION: Demodulators(210a-210c) demodulate multiple receive signals each with different time delay through different radio paths, respectively. A symbol combiner(220) combines outputs of the demodulators(210a-210c) according to typical MRC(Maximal Ratio Combining). A threshold value determining unit(230) compares the outputs of the demodulators(210a-210c) with a reference threshold value, one of pre-set multiple threshold values, and selects one of the pre-set multiple threshold values according to the number of paths having signal strength not smaller than the reference threshold value.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A spreading code tracer having an adaptive variable correlation length is provided to always maintain an optimum trace performance as to channel environment changed according to time by extending a correlation length, decreasing a bandwidth, and minimizing a timing jitter by an interference component in case that the timing trace succeeds previously. CONSTITUTION: A loop filter(105) filters a timing error. A channel estimator(220) calculates the polarity of the output of the loop filter(105) and an absolute value of the polarity, compares the polarity and the absolute value with specific threshold values during predetermined time, and judges current channel situation and trace situation. A correlation length/bandwidth adjuster(210) changes the correlation length and the bandwidth of the loop filter(105) according to the judged result of the channel estimator(220).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A digital FM receiver for demodulating an FM digital data frame in a mobile communication system is provided to restore message word signals from digital data frames without a loss by accurately detecting as to whether digital data frames are received or no and an ending time point thereof when the digital data frames are continuously received from a transmitter. CONSTITUTION: A processor(610) controls a switch(613) to be short whenever a symbol is synchronized and restored in a symbol synchronous circuit(602). When the switch(613) becomes short, the processor controls a switch(611) to be short to detect a dotting sequence signal. When a doting detector(602) receives symbols related to a dotting sequence signal as the switch(611) becomes short, the dotting detector(602) accumulates the inputted symbols as many as the certain number. If the dotting detector(602) detects a dotting sequence signal, the processor(610) controls the switch(611) to be short to a terminal(615). A long dotting detector(603) accumulates the inputted symbols as many as the certain number when the switch(611) is short to the terminal(615) and symbols are inputted. If the accumulated 42 symbols has a pattern that '1' and '0' are repeated, the long dotting detector(603) discriminates that the symbol pattern is a long dotting sequence signal and informs the processor of it. The processor(610) receives the information and restores a signal from message word signals stored until the time point in a message word accumulator(607). When the dotting detector(602) detects the dotting sequence signal, the frame termination counter(604) is set as a predetermined counter value. Whenever the switch(611) is connected to the terminal(615) and symbols are inputted to the frame termination counter(604), the frame termination counter(604) reduced by 1 from the predetermined value. If the frame termination counter(604) reaches '0', the frame termination counter(604) determines that the digital data frames are completely received and informs the processor(610) of the result.

본 발명은 디지털 및 아날로그모드를 모두 구현하는 이중모드 무선이동 통신기기에 있어서, 상기 무선이동 통신기기가 아날로그모드로 동작중에도 화자의 음성인식과 저장된 정보의 음성출력을 포함하는 음성기능 수행이 가능한 방법을 제공함에 있다. 이를 위해 제어부가 상기 음성신호 인식기능 및 출력기능을 요구하는 명령의 입력여부를 판별하는 과정과, 상기 명령이 입력되면, 보코더를 음성기능수행이 가능하도록 디지털모드로 전환하는 과정과, 상기 디지털모드에서 상기 음성신호 인식기능 및 출력기능을 수행하는 상기 과정으로 이루어져 있다.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for performing a hand-off from an asynchronous mobile communication system to a synchronous mobile communication system, are provided to obtain and keep timing information of a synchronous base station in advance before a terminal receives search and hand-off operations of a neighbor MC(Multi-Carrier). CONSTITUTION: Information of a neighbor cell is received(501). If there is a neighbor synchronous base station(503), it is checked whether a mobile station is synchronized with the MC(507). It is determined whether a current sleep cycle is longer than a pilot signal obtain time(T1)(509). A time period for obtaining a pilot channel is requested to a base station(511). If this request is accepted, the pilot signal is received(517). It is determined whether the current sleep cycle is longer than a synchronous channel demodulation time(T2)(521). If the current sleep cycle is longer than the synchronous channel demodulation time(T2), a current mode is switched to a synchronous mode during a sleep time period, and then a time period for demodulating a synchronous channel is asked to the base station(531).

PURPOSE: The apparatus for performing handoff is provided to make a synchronous system base station transmit a 'PN_OFFSET' value through the first short synchronization channel, and to obtain information on peripheral cells in a shortest time, so as to reduce call cutoff times between the synchronous mobile communication system and a mobile station. CONSTITUTION: A forward pilot channel generator(103) generates a pilot signal. A forward synchronous channel generator(104) generates a synchronous signal. The first forward auxiliary synchronous channel generator(105) generates 'PN_OFFSET' information of a base station. The second forward auxiliary synchronous channel generator(106) generates a long code state signal of the base station and frame timing information. A forward DCCH(Dedicated Control Channel) generator(102) generates a control message of a DCCH. A forward dedicated fundamental channel generator(108) generates a voice signal. A forward dedicated supplementary channel generator(109) generates packet data.
