Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and, more specifically, to a mobile terminal which is used to control the object display on a touchscreen and a method thereof. Accordingly, the method of the present invention, which is for controlling the display of an object displayed on the touchscreen, includes the steps of: displaying the object on the touchscreen; generating an extension bar upon detecting a touch occurring for a period longer than a predetermined length of time on the touchscreen; generating an extension window in response to the size adjustment of the extension bar; and enlarging the content of the object in response to the movement of the generated extension window.
