    Abstract: A system and a method for diagnosing a learning style are provided to check the learning style of a learner based on data generated during a learning process of the learner, increase a learning efficiency of the learner by providing a learning environment suitable for the learning style of the learner, and analyze the learning style of the learners statistically by modeling the learners having various patterns. A surveying unit(201) receives preference data of each learning style by providing a questionnaire for surveying the learning style to a plurality of learners connecting to the system. A learning unit(202) receives the learning data from the learners by providing learning contents stored in the database to the learners. A preprocessor(203) extracts the learning pattern of the learners by preprocessing the data received in the surveying and learning unit. A rule extractor(204) extracts a rule of each learning style according to the learning pattern and stores the rule to a database(30). A diagnoser(205) diagnoses the learning style of the learners connecting to the system by matching the received learning data with the rule of each learning style.
