    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for analyzing a walking pattern are provided to check a walking pattern of a pedestrian by measuring a moving track of COP(Center Of Pressure) of the pedestrian. CONSTITUTION: A foot pressure distribution value of a pedestrian is obtained through a pressure sensor array arranged on a shoe sole. An effective pressure point is calculated from foot pressure distribution values of the pedestrian. A moving track of COP is calculated using the effective pressure point. A walking pattern of the pedestrian is obtained using the moving track of the COP. A process of producing the effective pressure point includes a step where a pressure point having more reduced pressure value than before is excluded and a step where a moment touching an elbow is determined. The process of producing the effective pressure point includes a step where the pressure point of a heel area among a plurality of pressure points is excluded from the effective pressure point.
