Abstract: PURPOSE: A DRM(Digital Rights Management) contents sharing method and device is provided to enable the devices having the different DRM module with each other to share the DRM contents by using the DRM linkage server without amending the UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) or installing the module for the DRM linkage. CONSTITUTION: The request for the DRM contents stored in the second UPnP device is received from the first UPnP device(S320). The access authority and converting/no-converting for the DRM contents are detected(S330). The DRM contents is requested to the second UPnP device(S340). The DRM contents from the second UPnP device is converted(S350). The converted DRM contents is transmitted to the first UPnP device(S360).

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transforming DRM(Digital Rights Management) contents are provided to convert the DRM contents proper to the DRM format of a corresponding DRM device so that the converted DRM contents can be provided to a DRM device which authenticates a regal use right. CONSTITUTION: A data manager(220) encodes DRM contents, which is uploaded from an authenticated DRM device, by using an encryption key, and manages and stores the encoded DRM contents. The data manager decodes the DRM contents, which is stored during downloading, by using the encryption key. A data converter(230) converts the DRM contents applied from the data manager to be proper to the DRM format of the DRM device.

Abstract: A packing/unpacking apparatus for the protection of an H.264 video file and a method thereof are provided to generate a video encrypted in a file format with the same structure as an original video file by using encryption video data, non-encryption video data, and metadata descriptor information under a service environment that the H.264 video file is provided in a VOD(Video On Demand) method, thereby protecting the H.264 video file using an existing streaming system. A metadata generator(120) receives video contents information and encryption information to generate a metadata descriptor to be inserted to a video. A stream analysis unit(110) analyzes an HY.264 video received by using the encryption information transmitted from the metadata generator to search for an encryption area. An encryption unit(130) encrypts the encryption area of the video transmitted from the stream analysis unit by using the encryption information transmitted from the metadata generator. A file generator(140) constitutes the same structure of file as an original file by using the meta descriptor transmitted from the metadata generator, non-encryption video data transmitted from the stream analysis unit, and encryption video data transmitted from the encryption unit to generate an encrypted video file.

Abstract: A system and a method for performing DRM by using an index when a new moving image is generated from a plurality of moving images are provided to enable a user to decode/use the encoded moving image contents by searching matched data from encoded contents and providing the searched data to the user if the user accesses index data, and issuing a license for decoding the encoded contents referred through the index data. Abstract: PURPOSE: A DRM(Digital Rights Management) client device is provided to enable a user to purchase digital content based on the DRM so that it enables a user to adapt various types of digital content and enhances a user convenience. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a main module(100), a library(200), a plug-in module(300), and an external viewer software(400). The main module(100) offers a standard plug-in API(Application Program Interface), unpacks a container by using a license, and plays a role of preserving digital rights by analyzing metadata and controlling the plug-in according to a DRM policy. The library(200) offers general functions used by various softwares. The plug-in module(300) controls the external viewer software(400) based on the DRM policy determined by the main module(100).
