Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for operating/managing a distributed/shared RAID(Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) system based on a SAN(Storage Area Network) is provided to reduce a load of a web server and a diagnosis/management program, and enhance the security reliability by managing/controlling a system through a server based on the web. CONSTITUTION: If a management object is downloaded by using the node information obtained through a heartbeat message, a current state of the server is judged(S402). If the current state of the server is in-service, a download process is terminated. In case that the download of the management object is needed, the state of the server is changed to going-in-service, and the state of all nodes of the in-service is changed to a standby state by broadcasting a standby message to all servers and controllers(S406). Thus, the discordance during the download of the management object is removed by making the standby nodes process only a restricted message.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A distributed/shared RAID(Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) system having a function for recovering an error of a multi-RAID controller and an error recovery method thereof are provided to make the RAID controller having the mirror data continuously perform the function of the RAID controller occurring the error by mirroring the write cache data to the rear RAID controller. CONSTITUTION: All RAID controllers(101-104) are capable of communicating with each other through the network such as the Ethernet, an optical channel switch, and the SCI(Scalable Coherence Interface). Forming the RAID controllers in a logical circular linked list, each RAID controller prevents the data loss when the error is generated by mirroring the write cache data of the RAID controller of a front side in the list to a mirroring cache of the RAID controller of a rear side. Thus, the operation of the RAID controller is continuously performed by making a role of the RAID controller generating the error succeeded to the RAID controller having the mirroring cache for the RAID controller generating the error.

A PSI converter includes: a protocol data extractor, a protocol data converter, a protocol data inserter, and a system controller. The protocol data extractor is configured for demultiplexing a terrestrial broadcasting TS or a satellite broadcasting TS, and extracting audio/video data and PSIP/PSI data or audio/video data and SI/PSI data from the terrestrial broadcasting TS or the satellite broadcasting TS, respectively. The protocol data converter is configured for converting the PSIP/PSI data or the SI/PSI data into PSIP/PSI data of a corresponding digital cable television broadcasting standard. The protocol data inserter is configured for inserting the digital cable television broadcasting standard PSIP/PSI data into the audio/video data extracted by the protocol data extractor though TS multiplexing, and generating a digital cable broadcasting TS. The system controller is configured for checking the protocol data extractor, the protocol data converter, and the protocol data inserter, and controlling their operation.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling reception of multi-data using a single port and a multi-data transmission system are provided to receive both of transmission signals in two modes using only one port. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling reception of multi-data using a single port includes the first and second standard signal receivers(20,30), a switch(10), and a controller(40). The first standard signal receiver processes an input signal according to the first broadcasting standard. The second standard signal receiver processes an input signal according to the second broadcasting standard different from the first broadcasting standard. The switch selects one of the first and second standard signal receivers to transmit a signal inputted through the single port. The controller receives the signals processed by the first and second standard signal receivers and judges the broadcasting standards of the signals to generate control signals according to the judged broadcasting standards and outputs the control signals to the switch.

PURPOSE: A method for transforming a digital broadcasting protocol and a system thereof are provided to convert broadcasting protocol in transport stream manufactured in ATSC and DVB standards. CONSTITUTION: A first protocol extractor(124) demultiplexes transport stream of an advanced television systems committee(ATSC) broadcasting standard for extracting a first program and system information protocol(PSIP)/program specific information(PSI) data which are broadcasting protocols. A second protocol extractor(126) demultiplexes transport stream of a digital video broadcasting standard for extracting first system information(SI)/PSI data. A protocol converter(130) receives the first PSIP/PSI data and the first SI/PSI data for converting the first PSIP/PSI data into second SI/PSI data corresponding to broadcasting protocol of DVB standard, or converting the first SI/PSI data into the second PSIP/PSI data. A multiplexer(140) multiplexes the second SI/PSI data the transport stream from which the first PSIP/PSI data is extracted or the second PSIP/PSI data and the transport stream from which the first SI/PSI data is extracted.

PURPOSE: A system and method for automatically converting digital broadcasting program guide information are provided to automatically convert ATSC program guide information into digital video broadcasting program guide information. CONSTITUTION: A system for automatically converting digital broadcasting program guide information includes a packet receiver(120), a program guide information extractor(130), a system and information program table generator(140). The packet receiver receives a program and system Internet transmission stream packet from ATSC broadcasting stream. The program guide information extractor constructs table data using the PSIP transmission stream packet to extract ATSC program guide information. The system and information program table generator generates DVB program guide information tables with respect to channels using the extracted program guide information.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A PCR(Program Clock Reference) jitter removing method and a device thereof are provided to correct a PCR delay value of a TS stream generated in the procedure of multiplexing by adding a time stamp per input packet of respective packets, thereby removing the PCR jitter. CONSTITUTION: A PCR jitter removing device includes a packet expanding unit(12) for recording a packet input time with respect to a multiplexer in the packet, extending the packet, and outputting the extension packet to a multiplexer buffer, and a PCR corrector for obtaining a buffer delay time via an entire delay time of an initial extension packet when calculating the entire delay time in the packet multiplexer by extracting the packet input time from the extension packet output via the multiplexer buffer, and compensating the multiplexing delay of the PCR packet by using the entire delay time of the PCR packet and the buffer delay time by extracting the PCR packet in the extension packet. The packet extension unit includes FIFO(41) storing the input packet, a clock generator(60) for generating system time clocks, STC counter(42) for counting the system time clocks and providing the system time clock to a PCR corrector, and a packet extension element(43) for outputting the extension packet by receiving the packet from the FIFO and a system time clock counting value from the STC counter and adding the input time to the packet.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A splicing-and-connecting method of a video stream with an open GOP(group of picture) structure is provided to make the splicing-and-connecting region unidentifiable and make it unnecessary to change the image to a default image(black or white image). CONSTITUTION: A splicing system splices and connects a video stream. The video stream to be inserted, input from outside, is continuously output until the splicing-and-connecting time point reaches. The output of the video stream to be inserted is stopped and it is changed to a video stream to be inserted at the splicing-and-connecting time point.
