PURPOSE: A response method of a group frame in a broadband ultra-high frequency wireless system and a device thereof are provided to reduce resources waste of the system by reducing retransmission of the group frame. CONSTITUTION: A destination device receives a group frame(510). The destination device deciphers the group frame for preset time(512). The destination device creates a response frame(514). The destination device transmits the response frame to a source device. The response frame includes an effective response bitmap size field, a base MSDU(Media access control Service Data Unit) number field, a base fragment number field and a response bitmap field.

본 발명에 따른 복수 송/수신 채널을 갖는 케이블모뎀의 대역-할당 정보 처리 장치 및 방법은, DOCSIS 기반의 케이블모뎀에서 복수 개의 하향 수신 채널로 유입되는 복수 개의 상향 송신 채널들에 대한 대역-할당 정보를 담고 있는 메시지들을 처리하는 기술에 관한 것이다. 특히, 입력 받은 맵(MAP) 정보를 재구성하고 각 채널 마다의 대역-할당 정보 값을 각각 분류한 후, 시간 순서에 따라 재 정렬 과정을 거침으로써 복수 송/수신 채널을 가지는 DOCSIS 3.0 규격에 부합하는 케이블모뎀에서의 메시지를 채널 별 시간 순서에 따라 효율적으로 처리하는 방법을 제시한다. 또한 개별 상향 송신 채널에 대한 MAP 메시지들이 상향 채널에 대응하는 개별 하향 수신 채널로 유입될 수 있으므로, 이러한 채널 간 MAP 메시지들의 대역-할당 정보를 시간적으로 정렬하여 제공하고자 한다. 본 발명에 따른 상향 채널-결합을 지원하는 케이블모뎀 시스템에서 서비스-식별자(SID) 자원의 효율적인 자원-요청 전송 장치 및 방법은, 복수 상향 채널로 송신하는 케이블 모뎀에서 상향 패킷을 전송하기 위한 상향 대역폭을 요청하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 특히 케이블모뎀이 전송한 이전 자원-요청에 대한 자원-할당이 완료되기 전에, 신규 발생 패킷들에 대한 추가 자원-요청을 수행하는 과정에서의 자원-요청과 자원-할당의 불일치는 케이블모뎀에서의 상향 전송 큐 길이 증가와 그에 따른 지연을 초래하게 되는 바 그에 대한 해결 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 케이블 모뎀(CM)으로부터 대역폭-누적-요청(CR) 및 대역폭-추가-요청(AR)을 수신한 케이블모뎀 종단 장치(CMTS)가 케이블 모뎀(CM)이 요청한 대역폭의 양을 재계산하는 방안을 제시한다. 케이블 모뎀, 패킷 전송, 자원 할당
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A detour route setting method and apparatus in a broadband high frequency wireless system using a centralized MAC(Media Access Control) protocol are provided to offer quickly a detour route in case the containment of a signal by an obstacle occurs, thereby preventing a communication failure. CONSTITUTION: A first device receives a beacon message from a PNC(PicoNet Coordinator) and confirms the information of the PNC. In response to the beacon message, the first device transmits the information of the first device to the PNC. The first device is registered in the PNC(S530). The first device transmits a detection request to a second device and a relay device(S540). The relay device offers a detour route about the direct communications path of the first and second devices. The first device receives a response to the detection request from the second device and the relay device, and confirms information related to the second device and the relay device(S550).

An apparatus and a method for upwardly transmitting variable bit rate VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) traffic and an apparatus and a method for allocating resources in an HFC(Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) network are provided to efficiently allocates resources for a variable bit rate packet generated at a sound interval. VoIP signal processing unit(701) generates a voice packet by digitalizing a voice of a speaker, restrains generation of a packet by detecting a mute interval, and generates an SID packet at the mute interval. A transmission queue(702) stores the voice packet and the SID packet, and provides information on the stored packets. A VoIP activity detecting unit(703) determines voice activity according to the information on the currently stored packets. A DOCSIS(Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) MAC(Media Access Control) processing unit(704) includes the voice activity received from the VoIP activity detecting unit(703) in the packets received from the transmission queue(702), capsules it, and transmits it to a network device.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A MAC(Medium Access Control) processing method using statistics characteristics of a voice traffic is provided to effectively detect an activation state of a voice session and enhance efficiency of a system resource. CONSTITUTION: After a deletion/insertion procedure of a record by lists is completed by a voice state monitoring unit(401), a polling controller updates a lapse time field value of the first record of an inactive list of the voice state monitoring unit to a value obtained by adding a frame duration time(402). The lapse time field value is compared with a state transition probability value(403). If the lapse time field value is greater than the state transition probability value, the record is inserted in a unicast polling list and a corresponding record is deleted from the inactive list(404). If the lapse time field value is smaller than the state transition probability value, it is checked whether there is a next record(405). Starting from the first of the unicast polling list, a lapse count field value of a record is increased by 1(406), and the value is modular-calculated with a packet cycle, and then, a result value is compared with 0(407). If the result value is not 0, it is checked whether a next record exists in the unicast polling list(409).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A fuzzy-based voice/data integrated random access control system is provided to predict traffic load of a voice and data, and to dynamically control length of a reserved section of a frame, length of a reserved section of a frame, and an access permission probability of the reserved sections by using a fuzzy control, thereby magnifying a system efficiency. CONSTITUTION: At least more than one voice terminal device(200) transmits a reservation request message to a central control device(100) by recontrolling an access permission probability received from the central control device(100), and transmits information to the central control device(100) by using allocated slot reservation information received from the central control device(100). The central control device(100) predicts traffic load of a voice and data on the basis of a receiving result of the reservation request message, and dynamically controls length of a reserved section of a frame, length of a reserved section of traffic, and access permission probability of the reserved sections by using a fuzzy control, then transmits the allocated slot reservation information to the voice terminal device(200).
