Abstract: 본 발명은 내비게이션 시스템에 관한 것으로, 목적지에 관한 정보를 운전자가 용이하게 인지할 수 있도록 제공하는 스마트 내비게이션에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 측면에 따르면, 랜드마크 기반 경로정보를 제공할 기준 거리를 설정하는 제공 거리 설정부, 현재 위치 정보를 이용하여 다음 운전행동이 필요한 위치까지의 잔여 거리를 산출하며, 상기 잔여 거리를 상기 기준 거리와 비교하는 잔여 거리 인식부, 상기 잔여 거리가 상기 기준 거리보다 작으면 상기 다음 운전행동이 필요한 위치에 상응하는 랜드마크 정보를 추출하는 랜드마크 정보 추출부 및 상기 랜드마크 정보를 운전자가 용이하게 인지할 수 있는 형태로 변환하는 랜드마크 정보 생성부를 포함하는 랜드마크 기반 스마트 내비게이션 시스템이 제공된다.

Abstract: Disclosed by the present invention are an apparatus and a method for determining whether a vehicle makes a turn by collecting a sensing signal about the progression angle change of the vehicle in real time from a gyro sensor which senses a progression angle change to the left and right in a straight direction. For the forementioned, the driving state determining apparatus for a vehicle includes a gyro sensing signal collecting unit which collects a sensing signal about the progression angle change of the vehicle in real time from a gyro sensor which senses a progression angle change to the left and right in the straight direction of the vehicle; and a driving state determining unit which determines the current driving state of the vehicle based on the sensing signal about the progression angle change of the vehicle which is collected by the gyro sensing signal collecting unit.
