    Abstract: A press apparatus is provided to reduce production costs and improve product quality by performing padding and hemming operations easily. A press apparatus comprises an upper mold die(50) installed to be slidable in the vertical direction, a lower mold die(52) which is positioned under the upper mold die, and on which an outer panel(60) and an inner panel(62) are placed, a hemming mechanism(70) for hemming a flange part(60a) of the outer panel, and a padding mechanism(80) for padding the outer panel and the inner panel placed on the lower mold die. The hemming mechanism includes a pre-hemming cam(71) for primarily hemming the flange part of the outer panel, and a main hemming steel(72) for finally hemming the flange part that has been hemmed by the pre-hemming cam. The main hemming steel is directly fixed to the upper mold die, and the pre-hemming cam is installed to be linked to a hemming cam supporting frame(54) installed on the upper mold die.
