    Abstract: PURPOSE: A varying device of damping force in a shock absorber for a vehicle is provided to improve the driving stability and the riding comfort of the vehicle by appropriately varying the damping force of the shock absorber according to the driving status of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic cylinder(5) moves one end of a shock absorber(3) to a horizontal direction of a chassis by connecting with the one end of the shock absorber. A hydraulic pump(7) supplies operating energy of the hydraulic cylinder. Sensors(15,17,19,21) detects operating statuses of a vehicle. A controller(11) controls the hydraulic cylinder by receiving signals from the sensors. Thereby, damping force of the shock absorber is appropriately varied according to the driving statuses.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A parking brake device is provided to reduce the cost and to reduce the weight of a vehicle body by making the action of the ABS(Anti-Lock Brake System) and the action of the parking brake smoothly realized at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A parking brake device is operated by of an operating cable(1) being pulled according to the working of a parking brake lever. The parking brake device includes a turning rod(5) connected to the operating cable and connected to a pair of calipers(3) by a hinge, and a push rod(11) connected to the middle part of the turning rod by a hinge. The push rod presses a brake pad(7) toward a brake disk(9) by the turning of the turning rod. The action of the ABS and parking brake is simultaneously realized by the more simplified composition not having an additional drum type-brake device. Therefore, the cost is reduced and the weight of the vehicle body is reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A power steering system of a shimmy reduction vehicle is provided to absorb and shut off shimmy transmitted along a tie rod connected to wheels, operating a control valve of a spool type. CONSTITUTION: A power steering system of a shimmy reduction vehicle comprises a gear box(3) installed to the lower part of a steering column mounted at the upper front end portion of a steering wheel; a spool type control valve(4) doubling steering force; a rubber bush(20) changing oil flow of the valve according to the steering degree; and a cylinder tube housing a rack bar(6) coupled with the tie rod through a ball joint, to change wheels. The cylinder tube is moved in the steering direction by hydraulic pressure of the valve to change wheels, while passing through the rubber bush. The control valve comprises a spool(4') having a movable rod(4a') and a power cylinder(4") having a piston within. The movable rod is moved through the rubber bush interlocking with the rack bar, to circulate actuating fluid supplied from an oil tank. Thus, shimmy is completely shut off and compliance is reduced.
