Abstract: PURPOSE: A mounting bracket for a striker of a vehicle is provided to reduce the number of parts while maintaining a function of absorbing step and to shorten the length of a work process. CONSTITUTION: A mounting bracket(20) for a striker of a vehicle has weld nuts, to fix the striker to a body panel equipped with a reinforcement, with bolts. Distortional step-absorbing portions(22) are integrally formed on a side of a body(21) of the mounting bracket for the striker. Mounting portions(23) are integrally formed at the ends of the step-absorbing portions, to be attached to the reinforcement. The inside of the step-absorbing portion is perforated for more effective deformation. The step-absorbing portions absorb the step followed by assembling of the striker, while the rims of the step-absorbing portions are deformed.

The bracket is attached to an inner portion of a package tray panel of a chassis. Then, the torsion bar is penetrating the hinge. Thereby, the tension controlling device of the torsion bar for the trunk lid maintains initial tension by changing a position of the torsion bar installed on the bracket.
