    Abstract: PURPOSE: A lighting system of a warning lamp of a fuel gauge for a vehicle is provided to warn shortage without a thermistor of fuel by lighting the warning lamp when an angle of a pointer is sensed by a microcomputer and reached a point of fuel shortage. CONSTITUTION: A thermistor attached to a fuel sender(10) inside a fuel tank(24) is removed. A resistance of the fuel sender is connected to an input side of a microcomputer(18). A warning lamp(20) is connected to an output side of the microcomputer to inform a movement of a pointer of a fuel gauge and fuel shortage. The microcomputer senses an angle of the pointer of the fuel gauge when resistance is changed. The microcomputer transmits a current signal and lights the warning lamp when the angle of the pointer reaches shortage of fuel that is lower than 41 degrees of the angle. The angle of the pointer from gauge full to empty is 90 degrees. The microcomputer controls digitally the number of bits for 90 degrees as 512 bits. 82 minutes damping factor(26) is stored to an EEPROM(Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-only Memory) of the microcomputer. Thereby, a correct angle of the pointer is maintained by minimizing movements of the pointer, and cost is reduced by removing the thermistor and an input port of the warning lamp side.

CONSTITUTION: In a multi-functional switch assembly of a vehicle, a cancel cam(12) forming plural slit holes(12a), a return spring(17) separably combined to the upper part of the cancel cam, and a steering wheel-angular velocity sensor unit(16) detecting the rotational direction, rotational angle, and rotational speed of the slit hole and detecting the steering angle of a steering wheel are integrally assembled in a case composed of a lower case(21) and an upper cover(23) and combined to a securing portion of a body plate by plural screws. Thus, the cancel cam and the steering wheel-angular velocity sensor unit are prevented from being exposed to the room, and dust and foreign material are prevented from coming into the slit holes. Accordingly, the steering wheel-angular velocity sensor unit can detect a precise steering angle.
