    Abstract: A device for automatically opening and closing a sunroof using a differential gear is provided to prevent damage to a sunshade caused by opening and closing manually and to allow the sunshade to be operated with the sunroof simultaneously according to the sunroof. A device for automatically opening and closing a sunroof(20) using a differential gear(32) comprises a forward-reverse motor(28), a worm gear(30), a roof glass drive shaft(34), a sunshade drive shaft(36), a sunshade(24), and a sunroof. The forward-reverse motor is operated by an operational switch(38). The worm gear rotates by the forward-reverse motor. The drive shaft winds the differential gear formed at one side of the worm gear, and a roof glass drive wire(40) formed at one side of the differential gear. The sunshade drive shaft is installed at the other side of the roof glass drive shaft which is connected to the differential gear. The sunshade is movably installed at the sunshade drive shaft by winding with a sunshade drive wire(42). The sunshade has a protrusion(44) at one side to be fastened to a roof glass(22) to engage. The sunroof is carried on an upper part of the sunshade, and moves on a rail by rotation of the roof glass drive shaft.
