Abstract: The present invention relates to a noise absorbing material having excellent moldability and outer appearance and a method for manufacturing the same and, more particularly, to a noise absorbing material and a method for manufacturing the same, including: an inner noise absorbing layer (1) having a first non-woven fabric including a heat resistant fiber as a main component, and a binder which is evenly distributed inside the first non-woven fabric in such a manner that a 3-dimensional shape is maintained inside the first non-woven fabric; and an outer noise absorbing layer (2′, 2″) having a second non-woven fabric including a heat resistant fiber as a main component, wherein the outer noise absorbing layer is laminated on one surface or both surfaces of the inner noise absorbing layer. The noise absorbing material of the present invention has excellent noise absorbing properties, fire retardant properties, heat resistance properties, heat shiedling properties, and high temperature moldability, especially, because the outer noise absorbing layer is formed, there is no concern about damage to an outer appearance of a molded product from binders stained on a mold during a molding process.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a sound absorbing material with improved heat-resistance and formability, of which a heat-resisting material made by impregnating a non-woven fabric made of heat-resisting fiber into a binder is laminated on one surface of a common base layer made of a sound absorbing material as a surface layer, and a method of manufacturing the same. The sound absorbing material of the present invention improves noise absorption, flammability, thermal isolation, and heat resistance, compared with the common sound absorbing material. In particular, the surface layer can be applied as a contact surface to the portion which is maintained at a temperature of 200°C or higher, and the surface layer can be formed to have a wanted shape while the binder impregnated into the surface layer is cured. The sound absorbing material of the present invention can be applied to various industrial fields of electric appliances, such as an air conditioner, a refrigerator, a washing machine, and a lawn mower, transportation appliances such as a vehicle, a vessel, and an air plane, or construction material such as a wall material and a flooring material.
