Abstract: An apparatus for exhausting the battery harmful gas and dust of a hybrid electric vehicle is provided to prevent the additional heat build-up or ignition and to remove the harmful gas and duct generated from a battery. An apparatus for exhausting the battery harmful gas and dust of a hybrid electric vehicle comprises an air conditioning device(10) which provides cooling air; a cooling air duct(31) which is connected with the cooling duct of a battery cooling system from the air conditioning device to guide the cooling air to the battery; a duct opening/closing unit(32) which is installed at the cooling air outlet part of the cooling air duct; an outlet duct which is connected with external vehicle from the cooling duct to exhaust the harmful gas and dust generated from a battery together with cooling water; a harmful gas and dust detection part(50) which is installed at the surroundings of the battery to detect the harmful gas and dust generated from a battery; and a control part(60) which operates and opens/closes the duct opening/closing unit according to the condition.
