    Abstract: PURPOSE: Structure for a combustion chamber of a gasoline direct injection engine is provided to increase the fuel efficiency and the output of the engine by protruding a projected ramp from the nozzle of the injector to the center of the piston in the middle of the bowl and spraying fuel from the single injector to two sectors. CONSTITUTION: An intake port and an exhaust port are opened and closed by an intake valve and an exhaust valve, and formed in the upper part of a combustion chamber. An injector(14) is installed to directly inject fuel to the combustion chamber, and a spark plug is mounted in the upper part of the combustion chamber to ignite. A sectorial bowl(30) is formed in a piston(20) to diffuse fuel from the injector along the wall of the bowl. A ramp(31) is protruded from the injector to the center of the piston in the middle of the bowl, and the bowl is divided into injection spaces(32a,32b). The height of the ramp is decreased from the injector to the center of the piston.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: An assembly structure of a reverse idler shaft is provided to simplify the assembly structure and to prevent oil leak in the assembling part. CONSTITUTION: An end of a reverse idler shaft(4) is fit into a first fitting groove(10) of a clutch housing(6). A fitting unit(12) is formed to the other end of the idler shaft and the fitting unit is fit into a second fitting groove(14) formed to the internal face of a transmission housing(8). The fitting unit forms taper at a regular angle for easy assembling. An end of the reverse idler shaft is fit into the first fitting groove and then the fitting unit of the reverse idler shaft is fit into the second fitting groove in assembling the clutch housing and transmission housing and assembling is finished. The assembly is simply performed and the assembly parts are reduced and oil leak inside of the transmission is prevented.

CONSTITUTION: An air cleaner includes a cylindrical element case(12), an intake pipe(14) placed tangentially at the upper end of the element case, a filter element(16) located at the center of the element case to form a center point of a swirl of the sucked air flowing in through the intake pipe, an exhaust pipe(18) placed at the upper center of the element case to guide the symmetric flow of exhaust gas in the element case, and an oil cup(20) mounted below the element case. Intake air collides with the entire area of oil in the oil cup while falling. Thereafter, the filter element firstly filters the air. The filtered air is discharged through the exhaust pipe. As the air uniformly collides to the oil while swirling, the scattering of the oil is minimized. According to the exhaust pipe at the center of the case, the air is symmetrically discharged.
