Abstract:
According to an embodiment, a computer-implemented method of generating a virtual model of a set of teeth for manufacturing a physical model of the set of teeth is disclosed. The model comprises one or more teeth preparations and the method includes generating a virtual model of the set of teeth, where the virtual model is based on a virtual representation of the set of teeth; providing that each of the teeth preparation is configured to be arranged as a removable component in the model, where each removable component is adapted to fit into a corresponding cavity in a gingival part of the model; providing means for supporting and positioning each of the removable components in its corresponding cavity in the model; and configuring the means for supporting and positioning such that an area of contact between each removable component and its corresponding cavity is smaller than an area in which there is no contact between the removable component and the cavity.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a computer-implemented method of designing a number of dental restorations for a patient, wherein the method includes: selecting a composed set of teeth including a number of teeth, where the number of teeth are arranged spatially relative to each other forming a high aesthetic composition; applying the composed set of teeth to a virtual three dimensional representation of the patient's present oral situation to obtain an initial set of teeth; optionally modifying one or more parameters of one or more of the teeth in the initial set of teeth to obtain a finalized set of teeth.
Abstract:
A method, a system and a user interface for creating a digital restoration design for the manufacture of a dental restoration for one or more of a patient's teeth where minimal manual interaction is required when setting the restoration margin line includes obtaining a digital 3D representation of the patient's unprepared teeth; obtaining a set of one or more digital teeth anatomies; arranging the digital teeth anatomies and the digital 3D representation according to a preferred relative arrangement and creating a digital restoration design including a restoration margin line, where the restoration margin line is derived at least partly from an intersection of the digital 3D representation and the digital teeth anatomies.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of generating and modifying a virtual model of a set of teeth, where the method provides that a restoration can be inserted into a physical model of the set of teeth manufactured from the virtual model of the set of teeth.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of digitally designing a dental component for a patient, wherein the method comprises: - obtaining a 3D representation of the patient's upper jaw; - obtaining a 3D representation of the patient's lower jaw; - obtaining at least a first 3D representation of a first bite configuration of the patient's jaws in a first occlusion and a second 3D representation of a second bite configuration of the patient's jaws in a second occlusion different from the first occlusion; - digitally determining a occlusal contact movement of the patient's jaws relative to each other based on the at least first 3D representation, the second 3D representation and contact between the patient's upper jaw and lower jaw; and - digitally designing the dental component based on the occlusal contact movement of the patient's jaw relative to each other.

Abstract:
According to an embodiment, a computer program product comprising program code means for causing a data processing system to perform a method for generating and modifying a virtual model of a set of teeth when said program code means are executed on a data processing system is disclosed. The method includes generating a virtual model of the set of teeth from a 3D representation of the set of teeth; obtaining a virtual model of a restoration; and modifying a gingival part of the virtual model of the set of teeth based on the virtual model of said restoration such that the virtual model of the restoration can be virtually inserted into said virtual region.
