Abstract:
Systems and methods for covering a trough member. A cover system can include a flexible cover coupled to a side wall of the trough member. The flexible cover is selectively removable from the side wall to allow access to an interior of the trough member. The flexible cover mounts with a snap arrangement. Support ribs are mounted to side walls of the trough member.
Abstract:
A telecommunications cable management system includes trough elements including a planar top surface and sides for cable routing and management. The trough elements are made from separate parts assembled together with a mating arrangement. The mating arrangement allows assembly of the system on site, such as by snapping the parts together. The trough elements are then assembled together to form the cable management system.
Abstract:
A chassis and associated telecommunication circuit card are disclosed. The chassis has heat dissipation and flame containment features while accommodating a high density of the circuitry cards. Embodiments include an inner housing with a double-layer middle floor dividing the chassis into top and bottom chambers. Each layer has partially aligned slots, and an air gap is provided between the two layers. Embodiments also include a double-layer mesh cover with an air gap existing between the two mesh layers. Projections and grooves are provided on the inner surfaces of the inner housing to receive circuit cards having a guide on one edge and a fin on another. The guide includes an opening that at least partially aligns with slots on the adjacent surface of the inner housing. The circuit card includes a finger extending from a faceplate that facilitates insertion and removal of the circuit card relative to the chassis.
Abstract:
A cable management system includes a panel with a plurality of openings, each opening defining a similar configuration, each opening defining a first dimension and a second dimension, the first dimension being longer than the second dimension. A cable management structure is removably coupled to the panel, the cable management structure including a plurality of latching elements, each latching element defining a retaining portion received through each opening of the panel, each retaining portion having a first dimension that is smaller than or equal to the second dimension of the opening and a second dimension that is greater than the second dimension of the opening, wherein the cable management structure is coupled to the panel by inserting the retaining portion of each latching element through each opening and rotating the cable management structure in a first direction with respect to the panel.
Abstract:
A molding system includes a flexible cable carrier body that defines a sealing opening that provides access to an interior channel. A continuous length of the flexible cable carrier body is wrapped about a spool for storage and for ease of dispensing at a work site. The continuous length of the cable carrier body is cut to desired custom lengths during installation at the work site. An insertion tool having a plow and feeder channel can facilitate payoff of the fiber/cable into the cable carrier body.
Abstract:
A fiber optic outlet box (800) comprising an enclosure (802), a spool (700), a plurality of fiber optic adapter mounts (716), a fiber optic cable opening (820) extending through the enclosure (802) for paying out fiber optic cable from the enclosure (802), and a plurality of fiber optic adapter openings (820) extending through the enclosure (802) to provide access to the plurality of fiber optic adapter monts (716).
