Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for using integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes configured to provide multi-access edge computing (MEC) functionality. An IAB node may include a MEC functionality that includes an instance of an application configured for MEC. A UE using the application connects to the network through an access link with the IAB node and establishes a PDU session for traffic of the application with a core network (CN). The CN may determine that the traffic corresponds to the application, and that an instance of the application is present on the IAB node. Accordingly, the CN may instruct the IAB donor to instantiate a remote packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer and, in some cases, a remote service data application (SDAP) layer that are configured to route the traffic from the UE for the application to the instance of the application on the IAB node.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to deactivate/activate a point-to-multipoint (PTM) link of a multicast radio bearer (MRB). The UE receives, from a base station of a wireless network, a multicast radio bearer (MRB) configuration, wherein the MRB includes configuration of a split MRB including a point to multipoint (PTM) link and a point to point (PTP) link, deactivates or activates the PTM link based on the MRB configuration, reestablishes a radio link control (RLC) associated with the PTM link and recovers a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP).

Abstract: Provided is a method for a user equipment (UE). The UE generates a first information for the UE for transmission to a network device. The first information is associated with a small data transmission (SDT) procedure in an inactive state of the UE. The UE obtains a first configuration information from the network device. The first configuration information is determined with reference to the first information. The UE determines whether to perform the SDT procedure in the inactive state according to the first configuration information. The UE, in response to determining to perform the SDT procedure in the inactive state, performs the SDT procedure in the inactive state according to the first configuration information.

Abstract: An approach is described for a base station to generate a first message and a second message. The base station transmits the first message and the second message to a user equipment (UE). The first message is associated with a cell supported by the base station and includes a first public land mobile network (PLMN) identity index and a first list of one or more network slices supported by a first PLMN associated with the first PLMN identity index. The second message is associated with one or more neighboring cells, and includes the first PLMN identity index and a second list of one or more network slice data associated the first PLMN as supported by the one or more neighboring cells. In addition, at least one of the one or more network slice data in the second list includes a sub-list of one or more neighboring cell data.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may be configured with information to perform conditional handovers or addition/change of a primary secondary cell (PSCell). The UE receives a first radio resource control (RRC) configuration message from the source cell for conditional handover to the at least one target cell, the first RRC configuration message including conditional handover execution conditions, an RRC configuration and a target cell ID for each one of a list of target cells, performs measurements on the target cells to determine whether any one of the target cells fulfills its corresponding conditional handover execution conditions and, when a first target cell from the list of target cells fulfills its corresponding conditional handover execution conditions, initiates a handover to the first target cell.

Abstract: There is provided a processor of a user equipment, UE, configured to perform operations comprising: identifying a first transmission control protocol, TCP, acknowledgement, ACK, at a TCP layer of the UE; storing the first TCP ACK in a buffer, wherein a timer is initiated in response to the storing; identifying a second TCP ACK from the TCP layer at a second time, wherein the second time occurs after a first time and prior to an expiration of the timer; discarding the first TCP ACK from the buffer based on when the second TCP ACK was identified; and encapsulating the second TCP ACK to form a radio link control, RLC, packet data unit, PDU, that is to be transmitted over the air.
