Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow the continuous production of the large-sized ferroelectric liquid crystal panel at a high yield and the formation of a display surface to a curved surface. CONSTITUTION:A ferroelectric liquid crystal panel region is dispersed in a high-polymer matrix and is stretched, by which the thickness of the liquid crystal region is confined to the spiral pitch of the ferroelectric liquid crystal panel or below. The liquid crystal panel formed by utilizing a film consisting of a liquid crystal-contg. high-polymer compsn. releasing the spiral structure of the ferroelectric liquid crystal panel is thus obtd.
