Abstract: A mobile phone may include an enclosure including a housing component and a front cover coupled to the housing component and defining a front exterior surface of the mobile phone. The mobile phone may further include a display positioned below the front cover and a sensor module positioned below a front-facing sensor region of the front cover and including a biometric sensing system. The biometric sensing system may include a first lens, a light emitter positioned below the first lens and configured to emit light onto an object, a second lens, and a light sensor below the second lens and configured to capture an image of the object. The sensor module may further include a proximity sensing system positioned between the first lens of the biometric sensing system and the second lens of the biometric sensing system.

A flex connector can carry a strobe that can be positioned between the first camera module and the second camera module. A trim can enclose the first camera, the second camera and the strobe and optically isolates the optical components. An exemplary portable electronic device can include a side wall retainer that defines its perimeter, a front cover glass and a rear cover glass that cooperate to form an enclosure. The I/O assembly can be secured to the enclosure both from inside and outside of the rear cover glass. I/O assembly can also include an audio transducer that can record sound when the camera module are recording videos.

Abstract: An electronic disclosed herein may include a band formed from metal that combines with a bottom wall formed from a non-metal to form an enclosure that carries internal components. The electronic device may include a transparent cover and a display assembly partially covered by a border having a uniform dimension. The electronic device may include a vision system designed for facial recognition of a user of the electronic device. A bracket assembly may hold the vision system. The bracket assembly may not be affixed to the enclosure and may move relative to the enclosure. The electronic device may include a battery assembly having multiple battery components coupled together. The electronic device may further include a receiver coil for wireless charging of the battery assembly. The electronic device may include a circuit board assembly having stacked circuit boards. The electronic device may further include a dual camera assembly.

Abstract: A radio frequency system package may include waveguides and loading blocks. The loading blocks may include dielectric material having a high dielectric constant between 13 and 20. Additionally, the loading blocks may be made of mold, epoxy, or the like material, and the loading blocks may fit into a region cut out of the waveguides. Moreover, the loading blocks may lower the cut-off frequency for wireless communication otherwise provided by the waveguides without the loading blocks (e.g., 28 GHz). In particular, the loading blocks may facilitate communication in low mmWave frequencies, such as 24 GHz.
