Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing relief formes. Following pictorial illumination with actinic light of layers which can be crosslinked by photopolymerization, the non-crosslinked parts of the layers are washed with hydrocarbon solvent or mixtures of hydrocarbon solvent and alcohols, specific hydrogenated mineral oil fractions being used as the hydrocarbon solvent. The process is especially suitable for the production of flexographic printing formes.
