Useful for electrodes in prim. and sec. batteries, in insulators e.g. thermoplastic plastics to give a conductive system, for photovoltaic elements, thermostable screening materials against electrostatic charge and electromagnetic radiation, reversible redox system and hydrogenation catalysts (e.g. in the prodn. of MeOH from CO and H2).
