Abstract: A fat liquoring agent for use in production or treatment of leather or hides contains a mixture of an oxidized sulfited native oil and an oxidized sulfated native oil; an emulsifier mixture of (i) a 4-12-alkoxylated 6-14C alkanol, (ii) a 15-40-alkoxylated 12-24C alkanol and (iii) a 50-100-alkoxylated 12-24C alkano. A fat liquoring agent for use in production or treatment of leather or hides contains a mixture of an oxidized sulfited native oil and an oxidized sulfated native oil; an emulsifier mixture of a 4-12-alkoxylated 6-14C alkanol, a 15-40-alkoxylated 12-24C alkanol and a 50-100-alkoxylated 12-24C alkanol; and optionally a linear, cyclic or branched polymer of a dialkylsilanediol of formula SiR2(OH)2 (I); R = methyl, ethyl, n-propyl or phenyl; and/or a sulphonated succinic acid, salt or mono- or di-ester of formula (I) .
