Abstract: The printing plate of a stereo cylinder is held in place by clamping the ends of the plate in a longitudinal groove in the cylinder periphery. The groove is then filled with a plastic material to form a surface which is flush with the cylinder surface. The plastic material is plastic at room temp. and is formed from a base of a dispersion of a powdered solid high fluorinated olefin polymer in an inert non-volatile organic liq. The dispersion may contain powdered fluorinated partic. perfluorinated ethylene or propylene homo- or copolymers.
