Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a rubber hose with high performance and improve gas resistance and solvent resistance by forming a silver thin film or a silver-alloy thin film formed of silver as a main component, on the outer peripheral surface of a synthetic resin made inner pipe, and thermally hardening a rubber layer on the silver thin film or the silver-alloy thin film through adhesive so as to form an integrated body. CONSTITUTION:In a low-permeability rubber hose, a thin film 2, made of silver or a silver alloy made of silver as a main component, is formed on the outer peripheral surface of a synthetic resin inner tube 1 with its inner peripheral surface being in direct contact with a medium, an adhesive layer 3 is applied thereon so as to adhere a rubber layer 4 covering the adhesive layer 3 to the synthetic resin made inner pipe 1, and a reinforcing layer 5 and a rubber outer skin layer 6 are further provided at need. The synthetic resin inner pipe 1 is made of polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene-1, or the like. A high-rigidity organic fiber such as a glass fiber and a carbon fiber can be also added as reinforcing material to the resin material. Ag-Au, Ag-Cu, Ag-Zn, or the like is used for the silver alloy, and the rubber layer is formed of synthetic rubber made of isoprene, butadiene, chloroprene, or the like. As a result, organic solvent resistance and organic gas resistance are improved without harming the flexibility of the rubber hose.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily obtain the titled film having excellent scratch resistance and abrasion resistance, in high efficiency, by evaporating an organic silicon compound in a plasma polymerization process singly without using a carrier gas stream. CONSTITUTION:An organic silicon compound (preferably dime thoxydimethylsilane, etc.) is evaporated in a plasma polymerization process without passing a carrier gas to form the objective film on a surface of a plastic material. The objective film contains Si, O and C and the atomic ratio of O/Si is 1-2.5. The plasma polymerization of the organic silicon compound is prefer ably carried out in high vacuum of about 5X10 Torr. The thickness of the hardened protecting film is preferably 0.5-3mu from the viewpoint of productivity and economy.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the titled material to keep stable adhesiveness for a long period of time by improving thermal aging properties, by a method wherein an rubber compos ite is vulcanized and stuck on the upper part of a cobalt or cobalt alloy film, which has been formed on the surface of a base through adhesion, by performing hot press bonding. CONSTITUTION:A cobalt or cobalt alloy film is formed on the surface of a metallic base by a dry plating method such as vacuum evaporation or sputtering or ionic plating or ion beam sputtering or ECR method, or electric plating or electroless plating method. Sulphur vulcanization or organic sulphur vulcanization is applied to the upper part of the same by making use of a 0.5-4wt part of rubber composite and sulphur contents to 100wt part rubber contents. In this case, a rubber series composite material whose adhesion is favorable is obtained by sticking firmly the cobalt or cobalt alloy film and vulcanized rubber composite to each other by performing only press bonding at the temperature to the same extent as ordinary vulcanization. In addition to the above, as a quantity of sulphur can be reduced and the organic cobalt salt can be reduced or compounding of the same can be eliminated, adhesion hardly deteriorates even if an unvulcanized rubber composite is kept for a long period of time and thermal aging properties of vulcanized rubber can be improved remarkably.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a simple structure which allows the state of its internal surface to be inspected by uniting a fiber bundle for optical transmission and a fiber bundle for photodetection in one body into a cable, providing a reflecting plate to its tip part, and inserting the cable into a tubular body to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:The light source of the optical cable 1 is an He-Ne laser oscillator 11 of 5mW, laser light from which enters bundled fibers 3 as a parallel light beam through a convex lens 12. Light reflected by the internal surface of a metallic pipe 10 as the body to be inspected reaches a silicon diode 13 as a photodetecting element through a concave mirror 7 for reflection and bundled fibers 2 and the intensity of the light is converted into an electric signal, which is measured by a power meter 14 and recorded on a recorder 15.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adhesion of dirt onto the surfaces of household articles by forming photocatalyst films on the surfaces. SOLUTION: Photocatalyst coated bodies 1 are obtd. by forming the photocatalyst films 4 via ground surface films 3 on the surfaces of the household articles 2 which are base materials. The ground surface films 3 are adequately metal thin films of Ti, etc., or metal oxide thin films of SiO2 , etc., without having a photocatalyst effect. As a result, photocatalysts are excited by irradiation with light and the adhesion of dust by the photocatalyst effect is prevented. Particularly, when the household articles 2 are reflection plates of fluorescent lamps, the ground surface films 3 have high reflectivity in visible light and near UV regions and, therefore, the photocatalyst films 4 are capable of utilizing the incident light from the fluorescent lamps and the reflected light from the ground surface films 3 for photocatalyst reaction. Better effects of preventing deterioration and preventing contamination are consequently obtd. Reactive sputtering using a metal target corresponding to metal oxide, such as TiO2 , excellent as a desired photocatalyst in an inert gas contg. oxygen molecules is adequate for forming the photocatalysts.

CONSTITUTION: The light made incident on a light scattering body 1 from an incident part 2 on one end is radiated outward from the outer face 3, and many columnar or flat light scattering bodies are arranged in parallel to constitute the body 1. A light transmitting tube 4 is connected to the incident part 2 to make incident the light on the incident part 2, and the light from a light source is made incident on the body 1 through the tube 4. A photocatalytic film is formed on the outer face 3 to form a photocatalytic body, and the photocatalytic film is formed from the metal oxide film obtained by reactive-suputtering a metallic target in an inert gas contg. a gas having an oxygen molecule.
