Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide the image inputting device by which no additional lighting device is needed and lighting suitable for the object is performed. CONSTITUTION: The image input device is provided with a camera head 1, a camera base 2, a support section 3, and a base 4 or the like. Legs 4b, 4c of the base 4 contain a lighting unit 5 and support the lighting unit 5 freely turnably around a shaft 42 and have a lamp position sensor sensing the position of the lighting unit 5 in its inside. When an original 14 is picked up, a signal is outputted to a lamp control section to select a luminous quantity of the lamp for image pickup of the original and to light up a fluorescent light 6. The light from the fluorescent light 6 is emitted to the original 14 through lamp window 4d, 4e provided to the legs 4b, 4c of the base 4. When a stereoscopic object is picked up, the lighting unit 5 is turned around the shaft 42 from rectangular windows 4f, 4g provided to the legs 4b, 4c of the base 4. A CPU discriminates image pickup of the stereoscopic object 6 by the lamp position sensor and provides an output of a signal to the lamp control section to select the luminous quantity of lamp for a stereoscopic object and to light up the fluorescent light 6.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a paper feeding device which is capable of stably feeding the paper sheet at the bottom without changing the abutting amount of the paper sheets to a paper feeding roller even when the loaded amount of the paper sheets in a paper feeding cassette becomes small by providing the paper feeding cassette having the inclined surface where the inner surface of the rear side wall located on the counter paper sheet feeding side is inclined toward the rear side. CONSTITUTION:When a lifter 7 pushes up the paper sheets 5 in a paper feeding cassette 6, the inner surface 12A of the rear side wall 12 is inclined toward the outside, and the rear end 26 of the paper sheets 5A at the top is far located from a paper feeding roller 9 in comparison with the rear end 26 of the paper sheet 5N at the bottom. Thus, the abutting amount of the paper sheet 5N to the paper roller 9 is set to the approximately same value when the paper sheet 5N at the bottom is pushed up by the lifter 7 by setting the position of the paper feeding roller 9 relative to the paper feeding cassette 6. This arrangement enables the stable feeding of the paper sheets 5 even when the loaded amount of the paper sheets 5 in the paper feeding cassette 6 becomes small, preventing meandering, the shortage of the feeding amount, or the like.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently house a cable inside and to miniaturize an image input device by forming an opening part for passing the cable through at the connecting part of the supporting member of a turn supporting mechanism for supporting a camera part. SOLUTION: Concerning the image input device, assuming that a main cable 25 is cut by bending and no image can not be outputted during its use, the cable 25 can be exchanged as follows. Namely, a rear lid 249 is detached, the connector of the cable 25 is pulled out of a main substrate 248, and a chassis 253 is detached perpendicularly downward from a main body base 14. Then, a metal clamp 247 is detached from a balast 245 and the section of the cable 25 exposed from a joint 7 is detached from a pull arm 6 in the direction of arrow 253. The cable 25 fixed on a camera head 2 and a head base 23 is detached, pulled from the section of the cable 25 exposed from the joint 7, and taken out of the arm 5. Thus, the cut cable 25 can be taken out and easily exchanged with the new cable.

Thereafter, the operator informs the other party that reception is ready, requests him to transmit image data, and completes the receiving operation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the defective feed of a final paper sheet in the paper sheet feeding direction by feeding recording paper sheet, loaded and contained in a cassette, approximately from the same position regardless of the number of contained paper sheets. CONSTITUTION:Each tip part of recording paper sheets P loaded and contained in a cassette 2 is pressurized against a paper feed roller 7 with the aid of a lifter 3 and the recording paper sheets P are fed one by one through rotation of the paper feed roller 7. The cassette 2 is provided with a lifter (raising means) 6 to raise the rear end part of each recording paper sheet P, and the rear end part is raised according to the decrease of the recording paper sheets P owing to the feed of the paper sheets. Even when a final paper sheet P1 is fed, the final paper sheet P1 is fed from the same position as that of the topmost paper P3 before the feed of the paper sheets. This constitution prevents the change of the contact position of the final paper sheet P1 in relation to the paper feed roller 7 and the occurrence of a defective feed owing to the change of the contact position.
