Abstract: PURPOSE:To command an opposite call function from a personal host by providing an LTL (talking reservation setting) command between a communication control equipment and a personal host such as a personal computer or a word processor. CONSTITUTION:In receiving a CNR (call) command 1 from a personal computer, automatic call 2 is applied to call an opposite FAX, and when a telephone network is connected to the opposite FAX, an RNC (connection confirmation) command 3 is sent to the personal computer and a CNG 4 is sent to the opposite FAX. In receiving a DIS signal 5 from the opposite FAX, an LRA (called terminal confirmation) command 6 is sent to the personal computer. In receiving a command to execute an opposite call function, an LTL (communication reservation setting) command 7 from the personal computer, it is stored. In receiving an LDE (document end notice) command 13 from the personal computer, a PRI-EOP signal 14 is sent to the opposite FAX to call the opposite operator.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a state where a device is left without being connected to a line, by setting a transmission procedure according to a command from a data processing part before a call is placed. CONSTITUTION:A ROM3 stores a computer transmission procedure and a facsimile transmission procedure, and also stores a program to select those procedures. A RAM7 is provided with a buffer area where a reception data is accumulated, and also, stores a controlled data. And a specific data is set on the RAM7 in a personal computer communication control equipment 1 from a personal computer 8. Then, a CPU4 decides the specific data corresponding to a call issuing command, and selects one of the computer transmission or the facsimile transmission procedure from the ROM3, and transmits a bit of communication information via an NCU6.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To confirm that the titled unit is connected normally to a DCE, by allowing it to have a function for testing whether it is connected normally to a terminal connecting device or not, at the time of installation. CONSTITUTION:As for a communication control equipment 11, when a power source is turned ON, a connection test is started. A calling command is sent out to a DCE (Date Circuit Terminating Equipment), a three-second timer is started, a 'selecting signal sendable' signal from the DCE is awaited, and unless it is received within three seconds, it is decided to be an abnormal end. When the 'selecting signal sendable' signal from the DCE is received, it does not sent a 'selecting signal' to the DCE but waits for a 'disconnection instructing' signal from the DCE due to six-second time-out of an X21 protocol. On the other hand, the timer of ten seconds is started in advance, and unless the 'disconnection instructing' signal is not received from the DCE even after having waited for ten seconds, it is decided to be the abnormal end. When the 'disconnection instructing' signal is received within 10 seconds, it is decided that this communication control equipment is connected normally to the DCE.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce time required for communication by providing a means for designating a MODEM mode to prevent useless operation of the titled equipment. CONSTITUTION:When the content of the MODEM mode designated by 2400bps by a MODEM mode selection switch 6 is received via an I/O interface section 5, an incoming side sends the MODEM mode of 2400bps by using a MCI signal, and when a sender side receives it, the MODEM mode of 2400bps is sent by a MFI signal. When the incoming side receives it, a TCR signal is sent, the transmission speed of 2400bps is selected to complete the MODEM control procedure. Thus, the MODEM mode selection switch 6 selects the MODEM mode in response to the state of line at the MODEM control procedure to attain the fall back procedure is omitted and the time is received.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain smooth operation of a network system by providing a disconnecting instruction commanding the disconnection of a transmitter from the network system and a connection instruction commanding the connection to the said system to a token. CONSTITUTION:The token is provided with the disconnecting instruction 15 commanding the disconnection of the transmitter 2 from the network system and the connection instruction 13 commanding the connection to the said system. After the transmitter 2 detects the disconnecting instruction in the token addressed to the own transmitter, the said token is transmitted to other transmitters when the token addressed to the own transmitter is received from a communication medium. After the connection instruction in the token is detected, the right of communication is acquired by the reception of the token addressed to the own transmitter from the communication medium so as to attain the data transmission. Thus, a fault (such as noise) caused by the physical cause is avoided and the network system is operated smoothly.

When a negotiation is set up with a called terminal equipment via the communication controller 3, since bulk communication using plural B channels is attained, bulk Ccommunication using two user information transfer channels or over in one communication time is made possible. Thus, desired high speed communication is attained without suppressing the capability of the host computer having the multiple processing function.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable high-speed communication by using two B channels by providing a means to execute bulk communication according to an instruction from a host computer. CONSTITUTION:A communication control equipment 1 is connected through a line control part 5 to an ISDN network 8 and connected through a channel interface part 2 to a host computer 7, and a CPU 4 controls communication between the host computer 7 and the ISDN network 8 according to a program previously stored in a ROM 3. In this case, when there is the instruction of the bulk communication from the host computer 7, the communication control equipment 1 executes the bulk communication in a transport layer. Therefore, the two B channels can be secured according to one time of call origination from the host computer 7. Thus, high-speed communication can be executed by a simple process while using the two B channels.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily estimate a communication charge when a same original is sent at a succeeding time by providing a storage means storing charging information after the end of communication and a print means of the charging information stored in the transmission original after the end of communication. CONSTITUTION:A communication control section 8 is a circuit to send and receive data in a facsimile equipment 1 externally and connects to an external ISDN line 20. A charging information storage section 9 stores the charging information from an ISDN network. At first, the dialing procedure is implemented and the facsimile equipment is connected to an opposite party. Then a picture is sent and an interruption means is implemented when the transmission is finished. Then the charging information from the network is awaited and when the information is received, the received charging information is stored in the charging information storage section 9. Then a charge stamp format is generated and the charge is read from the charging information storage section 9 and added and the result is used as the charging stamp, it is printed out on the rear of the transmission original.

Consequently, cases wherein an unnecessary communication is made because the current communication charge is not known are reduced and an operator becomes aware of the cost.
