    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit sounds in a system for transmitting images on plural liquid crystal displays (FLCD). SOLUTION: A transmission signal transmitted from a host computor 1 contains a data signal arranged with an ID data, an image data and a sound data in this order, and a determination signal for determining any of the ID data, the image data or the sound data. Images are displayed by FLCDs 101-104 while relaying the transmission signals by branch transmission units 201-204, and sounds are output by head phones 301-304. In this case, IDs set respectively by the respective units are compared with the ID data, and the images when they are matched with each other are fetched to be displayed. The sound data can also selected, based on the comparison of the IDs with respect to sounds.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the degradation of an image signal and a clock in the case of distributing that image signal and its transfer clock to a lot of displays while repeating and branching them through multiple stages. SOLUTION: At a branch type connector 3a, a transmission clock FCLK inputted from the preceding stage is applied to a clock reproducing circuit 34, its rising edge is detected and a time measuring circuit 35 measures prescribed time from that rising. The clock reproducing circuit 34 reproduces a clock O-FCLK, which defines the said detected rising as a rising edge and defines the said measured time point as a trailing edge, sends that clock from a connector 33 to a display and sends it from a connector 32 to the branch type connector on the following stage. Besides, image data PDi inputted together with the FCLK are synchronized with the reproduced clock O-FCLK by a latch circuit 36 and similarly sent out later.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize a communication regarding control information with more inexpensive constitution for the peripheral device system wherein peripheral devices are branched from one communication bus and connected. SOLUTION: The connecting device for connecting peripheral devices to one information output device has connectors 21 to 23 for connecting to an upstream device, a downstream device, and the peripheral devices. Image data PDi and its control signal CTLi are transferred through the path extending from the connector 21 to the connector 22. Further, a mode decision switch circuit 24 is interposed in the communication path for control information between the upstream device and a display unit. The mode decision switch circuit 24 tries a communication with the upstream device by using a 2nd communication path, decides whether or not the control information is communicated according to the result, and forms a communication path between the connector 21 and connector 23 so as to communicate the control information between the upstream device and peripheral devices when deciding that the control information is communicated.
